Welcome to my KZread channel Hairliciously. In this channel, I will be taking you on a journey of my FUE hair transplant progress. Towards the end of November 2016, I had a 1700 FUE hair transplant done in South Korea at Motion Clinic (en.motionclinic.kr) to lower my hairline and to fill in my receding temples. The FUE hair transplant procedure took me about 7-8 hours to complete and cost me approximately $5000 USD.

    It's been show that DHT is more prolific in anaerobic, low oxygen, tissue environments. That means that too much tension can be leading to restricted blood flow and oxygen, which then leads to the production of more DHT in those tissues.

  • @OmegaMinds
    @OmegaMinds2 жыл бұрын

    It's fascia. The tissue that blocks nutrients and blood flow is tight fascia. I am a fascia therapist and have been pondering this exact theory for about a year now. Fascia can tighten in a couple of ways. One you mentioned here is scar tissue...if you've ever had a head injury or the tissue has ever swollen up on your scalp, it can leave behind scar tissue. Fascia stockings called "fascia lines" run throughout the body connecting muscle groups...if you have an issue along one of your fascia lines, it will tug on that fascia line throughout the entire body...even in the scalp. Posture is learned from those around you, and can also result from inherited joint placements, which is why balding patterns can appear to be genetic. The third way that fascia can lock up is by friction. Think of it as an internal callous to protect the structures underneath the skin. If you have consistent rubbing or pressure on a certain part of your scalp it can lock up the fascia in that area. Fourth is from lack of movement. Fascia can become rigid in places where there is no movement. Fifth and finally fascia can lock up as a psychosomatic response to perceived stress. One of fascia's main functions is to serve as a protective layer, it is shock absorbent. The nervous system interprets stress as a physical threat, and will lock down the fascia as a defense mechanism.

    Would chronic inflammation cause fascia?

  • @OmegaMinds

    @OmegaMinds

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@jug2262 Fascia itself is natural, you are supposed to have fascia in your body. But that fascia can become thickened, tight or lock down, which is what causes the unpleasant symptoms. Chronic inflammation itself will not directly influence the fascia to become problematic, BUT that inflammation, and more importantly, the root CAUSE of that inflammation, can influence the health of the nervous system...which plays a HUGE role in the tonality of your fascia. So does it directly cause fascia issues? No. Is it indirectly linked to fascia issue? Absolutely, yes. So make sure you are addressing the ROOT of that inflammation, rather than simply taking something to counter act the inflammation. Solve the problem, not the symptom. 💜

    This theory defiantly has some plausibility, i've seen hundreds of genetically bald men and 99% of them always had that weird xenomorph skull thing popping out at the front of their head(Tom Colicchio is an example of this) which i'm probably guessing it's because there's less loose skin to cover up parts of the skull. I'm guessing this is the same reason to why so many genetically bald men have shiny heads while full-headed men who shave their hair have a much more duller shine

    Its scalp tension and dht that are apart of the problem. When boys hit puberty their hair line moves back because the skull will slightly increase in size causing tension. Men who retain their hair was because the skull and scalp was not stretched enough to cause any further tension. But people who have diffrent head shapes that cause the scalp to become more tense than normal will have that tension effect. People who have that will then get a more m shaped hairline farther back if the scalp stays tense like this then inflammation will happen causing more dht to be pumped into the scalp, in large doses this will shrink the hair. The inflammation can cause scars that will completely cut off the blood stream and kill the hair.

It is difficult to massage that part of my scalp because the skin is so tense and when I microneedle there it feels like I am hitting my skull with needles, not like the other parts of my scalp. Grow hair - no cost- revised self- care massage , fine comb scalp daily, nightly, use a tweezer to pinch and release, gently grab and swirl, pulling a few hairs will release neural fluids, I am having tremendous results, The massage and cost-sectioning combing-ex. imagine drawing a grid- this process lifts the plaque 9similar to 'cradle cap', blocking the hair from protruding. The tiny glassy bumps along the temples must be removed. tweeze the whiter areas, the bumps will shrink, more hair will be accessible. keep swirling your hand, tweezer, comb, at the top of your head, gradually covering all areas, pinch ridge behind the ears, towards neck, pressures fingers upwards up where hairline ends, massage ears . Wash hair often, comb scalp and massage, a bit of coconut oil or olive oil before shampooing prevents dryness. Bath is more effective at removing plaque from the entire body, soak neck, massage, comb. Tension theory is correct, hair is trapped, set it free.

Their reasoning was that cuts was worse because it was not needed. = idea was to punch deep enough down in the skin but without affecting any big skin cuts. If I read you correctly what you are saying is that creating a larger skin cut is actually better? Btw my ex girl friend had compartemenr syndrome in her legs and they wanted to cut her up. I said her to wait. Instead we went to a Chinese “wise old women” who drove like big needles deep down in her legs and cured her in two moths. So maybe direct holes also work?

    Jim Dandy well that was my point. That those reasons maybe are not as obvious. If was not referring to hair loss but that the tensions and inflammation tied to compartment syndrome was solved with pure acupuncture and no need for operation. Here maybe west and east collide. The women laughter when we told they wanted to operate for this. And when I told her that we had talked to the doctor to test acupuncture and he had dismissed it she simple replied “they not know how to do it and they use needles soo smaaaal. Need to do bigger and harder” and well it work. And no operation or scarring needed in the end.

    Many years ago I was an expat in Singapore. I was young that time and experiencing hair loss. I went into a hair treatment service which uses chinese herbals and scalp massage. The process would take about 30 ~ 45 minutes, 2x a week. In that process, they would shampoo hair, dry, then apply herbals and they would wrap your head and would let you sit under a hair steamer for about 20~30 mins. (Steamers like the ones you see in hair saloons.) Then they would remove the wrap and herbals and wash hair and dry. After that they would perform scalp massage for about 10~15 minutes and finally spray the scalp with hair tonic. That hair treatment service still exist today in Singapore. But I won't name them least everyone would think I am promoting that business.

It also doesn't specify exactly how much pressure needs to be exerted on the scalp, so there are a lot of limitations, imo.

    It's the beard, people without or with little beard don't get bald. It seems this scalp tension is more pronounced in people with thick and dense beard. If the beard matures slowly (30-40 years of age) there is a good probability one will keep his hair. Asian people for instance have very little, or any beard at all and their hair is usually perfect. There are exceptions of course especially in the progression timeline. It is known that the earlier the balding starts the more aggressive it is. People who start shedding after 30-35, usually have moderate loss of hair. These are usually people who start shaving later in life.

    Agree totally. I think DHT in those hair cause severe inflammation. And massage. Microneedling etc can help fight that inflammation. Increase nutritions etc. but that is such a small factor compared to a DHT blocker. For me it’s like Finasteride = stop the majority that kills hair Scalp health = massage, shampoos etc. reduce the killing further. Microneedling = promote nutritions and body trying to heal. Minoxidil = just prolong their growth phase so you have more hair present on the head at the same time.

    Hi i am new here and although i am 66 i am still considering a hair procedure of some sort but finding it a bit of a minefield out there with all the different information and opinions, i had a FUT transplant done 35 years ago although i wasn't losing to much hair i just wanted to thicken up the front which is what it did. Last year i went to Mexico to have stem-cell treatment carried out on some injuries to my body and while i was there i had PRP treatment to the whole top of my head and i am very surprised at the results but they told me that PRP cant make dead hair follicles grow again so some areas at the side of the temple are thinning, i have been looking into DHI as an option and have been told that i have plenty of donor hair but cant decide which is best FUE or DHI. One other thing i am trying to find more about is when i had PRP done it was done by taking my blood and spinning it but there seems to be another system Regenera Activa which is PRP but they take 3 little plugs of scalp and extract the stem-cells from that which is making me wonder if that system would be more successful than using blood, any thoughts or advise would be welcome.

    *Kindly read the below* Hairloss is an optimization strategy of body to prioritize what's important.We can notice that scalp wont lose hair on the back as it will be disastrous if someone falls on their back.similiarily i have found that hairloss is much hair after hours from ejaculation, so either high DHT production after ejaculation or lose of vital vitamins causing this. One more theory that right after ejaculation body has to produce semen immediately, for that nutrients are utilized for semen production rather than scalp hair which is of lower priority. Men with thick head of hair and beard tends to be highly sexually dimorphic since their genes know that they will have adequate resources aka food for high maintenance body( you can notice a shine in their eyes which shows extra energy).Body is all about optimization and prioritization of nutrients absorbed so that our mortality is increased. Beards are thicker in the jaw area rather than cheeks because an adult human gets into fights and a hit on the jaw area lead to concussion. If we can have report of what happens in the body right after ejaculation, we will have the root cause if hair loss,and im desperate to find this out

    2 weeks it's not going to show anything relevant, with any treatment. For the very simple fact that the telogen (resting) phase alone takes 3 months. Then there would be growth, at which point you can assess if it's noticeably better than before or not. Until then it's basically a Schrodinger's cat scenario. But if the results after 3 months are let's say 10% better, can you really objectively notice the difference? That is why like 1 year of a certain treatment are needed to know for sure.

    Most people who go fully bald already start balding at a young age, especially those who start balding before 25, they are likely to end up fully bald. Balding is progressive it doesn’t take one year to go bald, instead it takes several years that’s why older guys seem to be bald but actual fact majority of baldness already started when they are young besides your hairloss is only noticeable after losing more than 50% of your hair.Also if you start balding at a older age it will be a slower process as compared to starting in your 20s.

Let me give you another example, most children grow the most between age 0-3, but that doesn’t meant they are tall at that age, you need to take a few years to grow, so they will only be tall age 18, same as balding you don’t just go bald overnight.

The typical MPB patterns is DHT sensitive. But it is. That is why DHT blocker is proven to stop MPBHairloss For massage there is no really evidence that is helps. Maybe it does but I like to fall on proves data and what people in general report. And for finasteride. Minoxidil and microneedling there slid both clinical data and a lot of testimonies online. Its because high DHT affects also muscle functions and strength. My view of it is that it makes side head muscles more relaxed so it doesnt cause further blood restriction and bone growth due to the tension.

    Just because balding men have more scar tissue/tighter scalps, does not mean this is the driving force of balding. Losing the hair (losing the subcutaneous fat and growth factors) along with the resulting inflammatory cascade most likely does this (scar tissue). FtM trans lose their hair when they start testosterone. It is not because their scalps are now tighter. It is because androgens make everyone lose hair. Some just lose it more quickly and have a more severe reaction. Like with Covid...everyone can get it but everyone suffers to varying degrees (or not at all).

    First off, you're near-juvenile with the way your hair appears! You already look young for your age. So this level of hair density and hairline really suits you and takes years off. Also, these studies are supported by parallel studies that have found a link between atherosclerosis and hairloss. There are studies that show that men with chronic plaque build-up tend to be bald. This is because of plaque buildup in the scalp. So in theory, healthy cholesterol and scalp massages can do a lot to reverse hair loss.

  • @Leonhart_93

    @Leonhart_93

    The problem with this theory is that cholesterol is not a direct cause of plaque build-up, it's just a mechanism of patching up the damage due to arteriosclerosis in the first place. This is exactly why for many years we mistakenly believed that high fat diets cause heart disease, to which we didn't find any significant experimental data to support even 50 years later. So what led to that arteriosclerosis then is what would fix the balding issue.

It is the high carb but high refined carbs are definitely a lot worse, and sugar is much worse than just a normal carb like a potato. There are also bad fats, like the oils they reuse for fast foods. It's not called junk food for nothing.

    The Indian man's arm is like that due to inactivity. Same thing happens when a broken limb is in a cast for 6 weeks+, the muscle mass reduces. And why does scalp tension only affect men and not women, at least for the most part? Blood flow is just one piece of the puzzle but not the be all and end all. Most likely it's a combination of hormones/genetics AND blood flow. You can slow down/halt or reverse hairloss by tackling one of these two but ultimately the best results will be achieved if you tackle both. The ratio of which causes more hairloss will be totally unique to each person, depending on their genetics, diet, lifestyle etc. This would explain why sometimes transplanted hair can fall out, only one piece of the puzzle was treated(DHT), not blood flow. This ratio can also change with age, as testosterone levels and blood flow potentially decreases. I had very aggressive hairloss in my early 20's which I think was attributed to high testosterone (which can convert to DHT in the scalp) and I also had very good results with Propecia at the time which I carried on taking for 10 years before the sides got too much. I've been off propecia for almost 7 years (now in my 40's) and I still have more hair than in my 20's. My hairline is still receding but at a much slower pace and I've had some success with scalp massaging and lifestyle changes.

    @Ben Riley Are there studies backing that up about body tension in men vs women? Women are actually known to carry more stress than men. As for the skull expansion theory, the human skull is over 90% developed by the age of 5, yet young men only start losing their hair after puberty, which ties in with hormones rather skull tension. Also the skull doesn't really grow after the age of 20, it might just change slightly with age. Another study points to the fact that castrated boys never go on to develop MPB - again this points to hormones being the cause. Do I think that scalp tension could contribute to MPB? possibly but it would be a very small impact compared to what hormones/genetics can do. Increasing blood flow to the hair follicles does seem to help as it reverses some of the damage being done by DHT.

  • @Chatt3rbox747

    @Chatt3rbox747

    @Ben Riley I ask because I've never heard that men hold more tension and I also can't find any studies about that. I looked at the skull expansion theory before and the photos showing how the hairloss is evident in the tighter areas of the scalp but this still doesn't prove anything. I for one have an incredibly tight mid scalp section and it's also where I have the most hair, the areas where I have the least hair are also the least tight. And this theory still doesn't answer why castrated boys don't go on to develop MPB.
