    I have an '18 Indian Roadmaster with cams, AC, Bam sticks with Zombie baffles and a PVCX tune from Fuel Moto. The bike is LOUD... too loud, really. I started with the Zombies... which was loud... but as I added the AC, Cams and ESPECIALLY the tune... it got to the point where it was too much even for me lol. The bike tends to 'hitch' a lot, too. I am going to get it properly tuned, but just ordered the 2.5 baffles to quiet it down a bit before the tune. If you have an Indian... this system is truly the way to go for sound and versatility.

    I have the 2.5” baffles on my 19’ Street Glide and believe me when I say, it’s loud enough. Infact it’s just a few decibels louder than I care for but I tolerate it. Cruising over 75mph you’ll get a slight drone. Ear plugs help that situation though. Otherwise they are perfect! I love my TAB exhaust and highly recommend them to pair with your Milwaukee 8, they sound AMAZING!

    Really, like your product. Are the slip-ons 50 State legal? I didn’t find anything definitive on your website. Will these fit a 2012 FLHTP (police bike)? With regular saddle bags do you suggest 4” or 4.5”? I’m not really leaning one way or the other, but I think 4.5” is the current trend.

  • @TABPerformance

    @TABPerformance

    4.5 is more popular with the stretch bags, but 4" is still very popular with the standard bags on a 12. Internally they are the same so you can go either way. The mufflers are not 50 state legal, however when paired with a stock intake and stock header that has a catalyst, they are still EPA compliant on emissions per lab testing.

    Arnold Soshkin the bike will run noticeably better after a tune. We even went as far as to do a stock bike with an improved tune and were able to pick up at 2.5 on max torque as well as HP. In our opinion it does still help the bike run noticeably smoother and cooler if properly tuned.

  • @TABPerformance

    7 жыл бұрын

    Yes, no baffles will give you a little better horsepower and a little less torque than the zombies. It seems to be about 2 HP more and about 2 Torque less on average. Both will be improvements over stock, but then it kind of becomes a trade off. I'd recommend listening to our "all baffle comparison video and deciding on sound though, as 2 units on either side are not enough for the average rider to "feel" when driving. If you run either type properly tuned, you will notice performance gains on both ends. Side note, the non-baffled has a substantially higher chance of bluing the pipe if not properly tuned.

  • @TABPerformance

    @TABPerformance

    5 жыл бұрын

    Tyrone Shoelace please see the attached video. This is with an aftermarket header and dyno tuned by a customer of ours. The results are actually very good on the zombies in this set-up compared to other baffles with more back pressure. kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4artNWQeLW7YdY.html long story short, this is not a good thing to just use as a rule of thumb as it matters what has been done to the bike. If you have cams even with an aftermarket header you will perform well with the zombies. If you have a stock head pipe, you will also perform pretty well even without motor work. Most technicians just give you a blanket statement of "if it is louder, it is more open and thus less torque due to back pressure" which is an ok general rule, but not universally accurate. Back Pressure is not necessarily good, it is more important to have the right amount of restriction causing exhaust velocity that completes scavenging to help with torque. See this video for info on that. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a46X1bxxYtvHXdY.html

    What’s louder?... zombie or no baffles ?

  • @TABPerformance

    @TABPerformance

    3 жыл бұрын

    No baffles technically louder but won't run as good from performance standpoint and it isn't much louder. Also you could have trouble getting a proper tune which could cause bluing. We offer that option for people who know they want to do that and don't care, but we do not recommend it.

  • @TABPerformance

    @TABPerformance

    Non baffled is louder, but the sound quality is not great in my opinion and you will have trouble tuning the bike and could cause bluing of your exhaust. It is not recommended but we do sell it that way for people who are going to do it anyway to save them the trouble and cost of pulling the baffles.

    I would go 4" if you are looking for standard bags, but if you like the thicker pipe or have extended bags, I would go with the 4.5" it is a little deeper note, but not much.

    @@TABPerformance can you do a comparison video between the 4" and 4.5" with zombie baffles? I'm torn between the 2 and would hate to get the wrong 1 for my liking, I'm defiantly buying 1 of the pair!!

  • @TABPerformance

    We will try to work that into our schedule. Currently the bikes are unavailable for that type of a video, but in general the sound is very similar. The 4.5s are a hair deeper tone, but you'd only notice if they were side by side. The other benefit to the 4.5s is the amount of space it takes up on the new cutouts for the stock extended bags.
