18:34 it's not quite pointless i'd say, Low mode is for lower center of gravity to give the bey more friction, pressure, and stamina whilst High Mode is for compatibility, like being able to use Wheel, Around, and many non-db normal discs that are still quite good these days

another good thing about high mode(in competitive) is to prevent the opponent from drain spinning much.

Altar kronos has two modes:stamina. (Which is the same for balance) and attack so its a 50 50

Man you should do a mega battle like with all beyblades to see the best beyblade ( don't include Cheeto you all know it's best) also pls battle with all takara Tomy beyblades ( also make it a long video with Jake) :)
