This is in a high school broadway review show, and they are all individual numbers, so out of context they didn’t use the original lines, as it wouldn’t make sense, and they didn’t have the context of the tribe.

L. T C. There certainly are Mormons here, I live in rural South Georgia, they have a large presence. My dentist, realtor, and tire guy, are all active members. They own multiple factories that make cargo trailers and mobile homes. They also have a car dealership. The missionaries are regulars in every neighborhood in need. They know how the game is played.

Joseph Smith sounded like basically a carbon copy of the original dude did in the musical. I literally freaked out at the first chorus holy shit you guys are amazing

The Book of Mormon show was due to be performed in my city in the UK but then Covid hit and shut all the theatres (uk spelling :) ) So I searched for the show on youtube and found the sbhsmotn channel and although I'm late to the party, I am so glad I did. I particularly love this performance because as has been mentioned before, it is rare for so many talented guys to be in one theatre company at the same time. I don't think this is an easy number to perform but the lads are well rehearsed and what I appreciate the most is that at no time do I feel that anyone is trying to upstage another member of the cast - it really is a team effort. Special mention must go to the orchestra who are also very talented and the backstage crew who are essential to put on such a good show. The fact that all the cast perform in a multitude of different musical number on the night as well as this one just shows what a very talented group of performers they are :)

Kaz Avian in the musical it’s in 1823 where they all had these coats etc and the angel should look more like an angel but here the angel is in shorts and Joseph Smith is just wearing a suite with jeans

It’s a high school production of one song. Not the whole musical, so it’s possible they don’t want to wear the whole costume of Joseph and the angel.

Book of Mormon is so inspirational -- South Park and Book of Mormon, two of the greatest institutions of satire in America. Teaching kids criticism at all levels.
