Beautiful layout! We have an annual family picnic that I scrapbook each year with a double page layout. These layouts go into their own 12x12 album that I can bring out at each picnic. I love seeing the changes that happen over the years.

You did a beautiful job of embellishing

This layout is so beautiful! Such a great idea to get the families together for family photos.

It turned out great! Love the background ombré effect you did. I struggle with embellishing too!! It’s not fun for me either, most of the time. I think it’s because I’m forced to make decisions that are tough for me! 😛

It is a really old paper piercer from a kit I found years ago at tuesday morning. Tonic/Tim Holtz makes one. I need to replace mine but I am waiting for the scrapbookdotcom one to stock so I can order it and give it a review. You could even use a thumbtack if you have one. As far as tips...depends on your comfort. Sometimes I use a ruler, sometimes a straight edge of cardstock, sometimes I draw a line and eyeball it - it just depends on my mood.
