Being a big rodgers fan that I am though, it was hard to watch how close we got to another super bowl year after year and how poorly the front office handled things. And the mainstream media demonizes him which is bs. Now it seems Rodgers has the pieces in place with the jets so I am excited to see if he can win it all. These years with the jets will help determine if it was Rodgers who can’t cross the line or the packers front office and management who made poor decisions that prevented possible championships.

They really went all in this offseason from late February to April 24th in getting Aaron Rodgers was their biggest story of them all this offseason, and he’s never been so happy and ik it’s hard seeing that as a Packers fan cuz this is your ex basically saying I’m doing so much better than what u are doing and shit hahahaha but either way the Jets have a very good chance at getting to the SB this year and next year especially! They can get through the Chiefs and Bills, Bengals, Chargers, and Ravens! Maybe the Steelers might be a top 10 AFC Contender this year. All ik is that he is playing in a very tough conference that is STACKED! NFC is wide open, but AFC, that’s a very tough but super fun conference

I have been a Packers fan since 1959 and an Iowa State fan for about the same time, so with 3 former Packers and 3 ISU grads I HAVE to be a Jets fan- again, like I was for the Joe Willy teams. I’m pissed at how the Packers wasted most of their time with Rodgers. A few yrs ago there was a stat that Rodgers had brought the Pack back to tie or go ahead of teams 13 times, only to have the D give up the losing score🤬, I can remember 3 NFL title games where that happened.

Well, I guess I can call myself an old codger. Been a Jets fan for a lot of years. Today, I watched the 11-25-2001 game that changed the history of football. That's when Mo Lewis KO'd a lackadaisical Drew Bledsoe and knocked the morning cereal out of him. Tom Brady''s first game. The Jets won that game they beat the Patriots twice that season. It reminds us, through all the losing years, we have had good teams and really good players. So, in the happy, happy, joy, joy of all pro players and twin rookies of the year, offensive and defensive, I'll tell you a secret, I'm really proud of that, I don't know that has ever been done in NFL history. Two guys, who were rookies, who were the best at their positions, to be identified as the best in the NFL. We haven't had that kind of grind recognition for a long time. It shows the team is on the right track. Now Arron Rodgers is here. I never liked him, never wanted him to win. However, he has changed my attitude, he is not the person I thought he was. He is different, but he is a good person and a great football QB, and now he's the QB on my team. So, this June, the clock is ticking, it'll be September before you know it. Everybody is getting ready. Coach Salah's message is correct. Make it hurt, Every practice is the championship game from here on out. You can only win if you beat your opponent. Did he do what you did to win? We will see. The team looks solid, coaches sound coherent and on point, as a Jets fan, I am optimistic. 1st year of Fitzpatrick,, an offensive record-breaking year, that was a fun year, a good year, but we ran out of gas. Can Rodgers better Fitzpatrick's marks, in all ways? If So, then I buy playoffs and beyond, but in the NFL, you got to beat people, and that is what the Jets of 2023 have to do. If Darnold is making $31.7M per year, Quinnen deserves something in the high 20's up to maybe 30. He needs to be the second highest paid DL in the league, because that's what he is. So something in the neighborhood of 5 years $145M with a large chunk of that guaranteed. You keep saying how the attitude of the locker room is everything, and paying this guy what he's worth and getting him in the building would be a great way to make sure everyone's happy.

I know the good production is supposed to get you hyped, but underneath it all there's already enough reason to be. They are looking strong and promising even without this cool series :)

We almost built like the 2009 & 2010. Good defense good core on offense. Sanchez was good for what it was let’s not front. But having an experience QB like AR, why not take the extra step. But of course, We have a hard schedule. But one game at a time. Playoffs is the goal for now. Whatever comes after that.. Is a bonus! Can’t wait! TampabayJETSfan

You need to be aiming higher we as jet fans need to really be expecting more than just a playoff spot WE CAN win the division WE CAN win in the playoffs and WE CAN win the Super Bowl

You never know with the schedule, the NFL is weird sometimes teams that are supposed to be good are bad and then some teams that are supposed to bad are good. The hardest games on paper will be Kansas City and Philadelphia. I like our chances against anyone

Not the best defense hes ever played with, but its definately the best hes played with since that 2010 team. Charles Woodson, Clay Mathews, BJ Raji, AJ Hawk, Nick Collins, Tramon Williams, Cullen Jenkins.

@lundqvist1092 I agree. There were 2 stars on that packer defense. Let's not overrate guys like Cullen Jenkins. Aj hawk was a solid LB, but no where near worth the 5th overall pick or whatever he was. There's more quality and depth at more positions in this jets d than there were in that packers unit. This is solely based on the talent for the respective units. The defensive fronts aren't even close when you look at how deep the jets are. And that's with whatever questions people have about the LBs

@@davidtokash4701 Woodson is obvious, Clay is obvious, but people sleep on Nick collins who was probably a top 3 FS in the NFL prior to his career ending injury, both he and tramon were probowlers that yr, Cullen Jenkins wasnt a world beater but any stretch but hes was an undrafted guy who played 13 years and got 3 significant pay days. He had 7 sacks that yr. BJ Raji was a probowler even tho he retired early. This Jets defense may be close tho.

The Jets have a lot to live up to. And I fully believe the Super Bowl is the result they get!

I’ve been trying to curb my expectations but man it’s hard not to get excited about this team. I think didn’t realize how good our defense was last season and how much Rodgers gives the offense exactly what it needs to elevate.

Embrace the challenge, don’t sell this team short of anything. We made the big move to go all in for that Lombardi. Nothing else is acceptable.

@@AYjoy93 Yeah sure. It’s just with a defense that could be the best in the league but for sure in the top 5 actually getting some help from the offense could be big. Rodgers won’t have the turnovers and danger plays that Wilson had, he’s proficient in the redzone, he can keep drives going, get free plays and just in general having more of a threat of the pass on top of what was a strong run game in my opinion is actually what the team needs to take the next step. That being said winning the Super Bowl is incredibly difficult and watching this team over the last few years doesn’t exactly instill a ton of confidence in expecting great things. The first 8 games are going to be very difficult and it’s gonna be critical that the team shows a lot of promise early when they are trying to adjust to new changes. I will say I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about a Jets team my entire life. For the first time I actually feel justified in expecting big things from the talent on this team. Not so pumped about Hard Knocks coming to put that much more spotlight and pressure on the team. Kind of feels like a big stage to get laid out on but if we can show heart, put good football on the field and be competitive I'll be happy.

It's crazy but I do feel that this is our chance....the other time I felt this emotional was in 2010 no other season I've felt this way honestly...its like a rainstorm you can feel it coming you can smell it....we will win!!!
