You rarely hear people call Black American boxer's "warrior's" even when they knock their opponents out. For example, in Latin America, when Tank knocked out Leo Santa Cruz, and almost took his head off in the 6 round, you should have read the post fight comments in Spanish, you would have thought Leo won with all the "Aztec Warrior" comments in Spanish, What about the damn winner???!!! Maybe, but I think it needed both to get tank to where he is. Floyd is just as important as his trainer. He just mastered the boxing and price fighting business and he will set up Davis to follow his footsteps. And good for him! I don’t know if there is any other boxer that deserves it more right now. From Baltimore, struggling childhood, where boxing propably saved his life… I mean, what a story and similar to Floyd’s story. I think that just connects them forever and it’s other than a regular promoter promoting his boxers.

Barrios did really well in this fight. I had him winning at moments, but the power of Davis is really something else. He knows when to switch it up and absolutely demolish his opponents. Still Barrios' chin held up better than I thought and he earned many peoples' respect that night.

Barrios didn't need to be more aggressive he needs to learn how to fight a southpaw and be able to move to his right you're not going to beat a good southpaw if you cannot do that.. he needs a good quick right hand lead without going off balance but he doesn't have that.. he keeps his right foot back way to far... they should have picked that up in training camp

This kid attacks the enemy , he's a pleasure to watch. No excuses, no fear, just pure skills with punching power. Gervonta rules the ring with a great boxing camp and Mayweather to make sure he gets his exposure/ money / props Glad to see both family's so supportive

A regular belt champion what the hell does that mean? I only know of the undefeated and undisputed 140 lb champion in Josh Taylor. Barrios was the WBC 140 lb regular title holder? Why didn’t Skank Davis challenge Taylor for the undisputed championship? Floyd cheering the cherry pick opponents because that is all he perfected throughout his career. Floyd would duck worthy opponents because he would use the lame excuse that they were not PPV draws. Funny that the money team conveniently didn’t use this lame excuse when it came to fighting Barrios who was definitely not a PPV draw. The conveniently hypocritical fan girls don’t see this though and continue to believe in the false narratives. Why didn’t Stank Davis challenge the undisputed champion of the division? Showtime Epilogues ... They are soooo beautiful!❤ @21:00 when Davis walked up to Barrios to hug him, I shed a tear! 😢😢 Barrios proved why he was a Champ, and Tank proved He's always a better man. Respect to Barrios!! 🙌💯

The things that impress me from Davis is how he kept his calm and wait for a good opportunity to finish the fight is difficult to do this when you’re fighting some of the great fighter in the world. For me this is his big weapon . Nothing can beat calm and order this is life key .

Davis is one of the hardest punchers I have ever seen in those lighter weights and lots of respect to Barios he is one hell of a fighter and if they have a rematch he can do better

But out of these guy stylistically speaking,I think Josh Taylor would probably be his toughest challenge

Yeah

Barrios is a really warrior. The guts it takes to get in the ring is beyond courageous. Much, mucy, much Respect to him and EVERY other competitor that works so hard and dares to be great.

This is one of the top 5 great fights of the year 👏 they both gave it their all. Tank is one future hall of fame fighter for sure.

Well, MR. Barrios is a gentleman and a real Legend by the way he accepted his defeat, I can't wait to see him back. Tank Davis proves that he has the chin and the power of a real Champion!

This fight was mos def the fight of the year. People thought I was buggin at the bar.

The guy that lost was such a good sport. Humble in a win or loss is a good human.

Shout-out to mario for giving one hell of a show against one of the greatest young talents in the game

Barrios and Tank are beasts, this was such a fun fight.

He pushed Tank to the Limit to the point he had to pull it out in the 11th… it’s just that when you go to 10 can I go to 11 if I go to 11 can you go to 12 that is what separate The very razors edge top from each other Barrios is a beast if he would have been able to keep tank outside for 6 more minutes it was his or a draw

Barrios just went 12 with a big, strong welterweight. I think that speaks to Tank's power.

Literally the BEST epilogue Showtime has ever produced!!!! 🔥🔥🔥 This is coming from a person who’s been watching these since Floyd was fighting. Wow that was award winning 🏆!!! I’ll be tuning into the next one when he knocks Ryan Garcia’s head off, or if he gets all the 130 pound straps. Tank could literally be Undisputed at 130, 135, and 140. Wow, just wow.

He can't make 130 consistently to collect belts down there. Thus far he has proven to be undisciplined between fights blowing way up in weight. The older he gets the harder it will be to drop the pounds and the more it will take out of him during training camp. 135 is prob he's happy zone and where a nice trove of lucrative fights are.

I guarantee you Barrios will never be a world champion, this victory will not age well for Tank. But still I give him credit for beating a top 10 contender in his first fight at 140.
