    Hi, my name is Igor and I'm a Naval Architect & Marine Engineer from Brazil. I'm a master degree student in ocean engineering and this class helps a lot talking about Structural stability.     at minute 25:48 he said "the classify profile sections at the same whay" but why are the values of c/t not the same in the beam theory classification section class 4 compered to the plate theory. so why in beam theory its c/t< 15 and in plate theory c/t < 18 ( according to his slides ) as they both are talking about a flange with one free side.

    Sir, in case of A if all sides are constrained C-C, then how axial load is applied. ist it under external pressure?
