I agree wholeheartedly about the long hair/weave thing. People need to stop assuming that if our hair is long and we're black, it CAN'T be real or also that if you're brown or dark skin and you have looser curls that it's a texturizer or weave. It' extremely annoying and frustrating as well as insulting. Before I big chopped to natural, my hair was armpit length. People used to always try to be sneaky and ask to touch my hair to feel for tracks. An African woman in one of my college classes felt up my hair for tracks because she didn't believe it was all mine and almost tried to practically argue with me that it was fake. It pisses me off. I feel your pain and my hair wasn't even waist length at that like yours. Your hair is gorgeous and you're black. People need to believe it and leave it.

Great video. I don't know if y'all will ever read this, but I went through bad heat damage in March when a hair stylist straightened my natural hair. It kind of brought my self esteem down b/c it was setback in my natural hair journey. This summer I discovered y'alls channel, and in the course of 6 months my hair has completely gotten thicker, longer, and stronger. I only have a like 2-3 strands of heat damage which I'm cutting off slowly, but my hair is back to health, pass bra strap. Thanks y'all!! Hands down best channel and best beauty vlog gurus

Great video guys. You completely inspired me to grow my hair long. I have wanted to do it for ages (always loved my long hair when I was a child) but after cutting it numerous times I wasn't sure I was up to the challenge of it. Now, I am! Can't wait to see your transition video - I really want to know how to do this properly. My hair is currently straightened but I want to go back natural without the big chop. Would love to see how to properly transition. Thanks for all your videos, they're great!

Tried the tips offered here; the results speak for themselves. Got a MUCH smoother outcome than usual. My hair still starts to revert back to natural after about a week (no matter what I do to keep it dry and stay away from water-based products...I also don't "touch up" with the flat iron), but I definitely like the results.

Thanks for suggesting the Infinity Pro Conair curling iron from target. It works very well. I usually spend a grip in hair tools because my Paul Mitchell flat irons (that I paid 95 dollars for) have been faithful to me since 2006. I've been afraid to spend money on cheap department store hair tools. But these work amazing! Thanks guys. Hope You both are enjoying the new year thus far. :)
