The hair glowup is so crazy!!! I've been catching up on all the earlier videos on your vlog channel and seeing your hair transform from vibrant orange, to shaved, to your natural color has been so cool! As always, loving your videos and I'm so glad your content has remained so amazing even during depression-ridden winter 💅

Love the current hair. I personally did not like the orange mullet. I know you like color and my favorite color you had was the light Peach. I think as we age, crazy colors aren't as cute. But you are looking beautiful.

Barrina does sell a vertical light BUT there are makers on Etsy who have created stands to hold the regular Barrina lights vertical, too! Which is super convenient imo because I have some unused Barrinas and it feels silly to buy a whole new light when I'm not even using what I have

Fabulous video Fern!!! This one is a keeper for future reference for years to come!! I have 2 Birnina's and I love those! I have not burned any plants yet, but I now know to look out for that. And I just bought a Sansi clip on with 4 heads that I need to set up. And I have 2 really cheap 4 head free standing lights that I love! I put that stinkin' cheap-y light and my plants went into over drive! It was amazing. But I am slowly buying some better quality lights now.

Always love the new videos! Thanks for all the content!! I’d totally recommend a light meter. Or even try a free one on your phone with an app. Since you have many different lights and different watts then you’d know the light strength at different distances from the lights. Then you’d be able to adjust plants heights to lights better that way. I own a few Barrina lights and they work well 🌱

LOVE my Kasa smart plugs/strips!I even got the outside ones this past Christmas for my outdoor lights. My son(26) was very impressed with his electronicly challenged momma lol. One thing that I had a bit of a challenge with was finding grow lights that work with smart plugs. Not all do, because if the plug turns off you have to reset everything. It's one of the reasons I also got the Barrina light bars (black) and very impressed with them especially for the price. They work great with the Kasa smart plug/strip. I also got the Sansi bulbs for my mid century tree lamp I found for $20 at a charity shop.💚✌🏽

Hi Fern! If you want to angle the Mother light in your Milsbo, and don’t mind drilling into the top of your cabinet, you can buy L brackets and use those as mounts for the Mother light. The holes on both ends of the Mother light can be screwed with the L brackets and then you can angle the light in any direction you’d like it to go. I did that above my WallyGrow set up with a Mother 32 light using L brackets and it’s working well. There’s usually a big selection of sizes at your local hardware store 😊

Love the details! I use Sansi and i have found that their regular bulbs that are 250watt equivalent (they're not sold as grow lights) work GREAT for my plants, like I have growth on every single plant near these! It is wild! I actually would say that I think they work better than the 36 watt sansi grow bulbs but I can't be 100% on that since I don't have the same plants under it. But my my hoya and string of and my white ghost etc are ALL amazing with them! Even my freakin aloe went from dying every time I thought of watering it to being like 18 inches tall with 2 or so children in the pot... I use them where my props are as well! I am sure they use more power a day then the grow lights do but I am not having ANY issues with any plants with these bulbs, I mean, I have had scorching when the plant grows right up onto the darn bulb (the aloe) but I have no clue how long it was actually like that to know how long it took to burn. One thing I am finding very interesting is that with my Sansii bulbs from the puck lights to the clip lights is that everything is always actively growing! I see growth on my string of hearts string of bananas, string of pearls, my white ghost, my alocasias and my two begonias and my jade plants and so on... like if its a plant it is growing unless i forgot to water it LOL What I have def learned to love about the sansi is the price! It works great for my budget and in every setting so far. I do have one question though. I have a now one leaved treubii moonlight and it HATES LIFE. I've tried medium light, lower light, sunlight, etc would you consider putting it under one of the little clip lights from sansi or do you grow one? I have tried looking online and it seems i am either just highly inadequate at providing it the care requirements OR the people who do have a nice lush one just bought it LOL or I am just missing something and I can't figure out what. Since I don't see many plantubers anymore talking about this plant I'm assuming most ppl no longer have it but maybe they just aren't that great to talk about? Thats my only GAAAAAAAHHHH plant! lol Thanks Fern!!!

I knew you were in Canada, but you in BC with me?! You near the coast? I’m in Kelowna, can’t wait to get my plants outside this summer!! Being in the valley, we don’t get much sun AT ALL during the winter, so grow lights are EVERYWHERE in my house. Hope we don’t have any fires like previous years, we’re in semi-arid conditions, been evacuated twice over the past 3 years, not much snow this year so I’m worried… I don’t need the specs on each light, right over my head, all I need to know is how well they grow plants! I like barrinas, Sansi and monios lights so far I felt the ikea greenhouse fell apart way too easily for me, it was awkward to move and clean, when I put it back together I’ll try to find a better way to attach the panels

I was going to buy the new soltech lights for my shelves, but they don't connect and that's a deal breaker if you have a bunch. Id have a ton of cords coming out of my cabinet and into plugs. I hope they change that because everything else is perfect except they aren't magnetic, but that is small.

Excellent video, well documented. I really appreciate that! Oh wow, I have got to give my crimson princess way more light - yours is stunning! Yeah, $130 USD is just way too much, and especially in Canada, that's approx. $175 simply outrageous! Both Mother & Soltech were begging for competitors to come into the space. For plants, I like a white light colour, seems to bring out the colour. Oh no, you're not being nit-picky at all. For $570 USD it absolutely should be dimmable and have an on/off switch. Bizarre there's no on/off, lol!!

I have BN Link Wi-Fi timers for all my lights and control them with the app. So, if I want to go to bed and I'm already in bed, i just open my app and shut it off. There are others out there that have 2 plugs instead of all the ones I have that just have one plug per times. Honestly, I love them and I have about 15 of them throughout the house.

Hi Fern 💫 Thank you so much for another helpful and informative video. I finally got myself 2 asparagus ferns (because after seeing yours many moons back, I was on the hunt) and I got them on clearance for $2.99 each ~ However, they were super yellow and I brought them home, cut off most of the yellow and there is some green coming but not a ton and I don’t want to lose them. How often should I water them? They are under grow lights so I’m wondering if that’s contributing to the leaves staying yellow? Any help is greatly appreciated. These are finicky little things but I’m enjoying the challenge of figuring them out. Enjoy your upcoming weekend. 🙏🏻💫

I'm trying to transition more hoya, but I have a display point that is the highest and I can't put any of my monstera at that point. I'm currently trying my florida ghost which was not getting enough light under a sansi bulb. Eventually, I could put a large alocasia under it, but I don't have an alocasia big enough yet. Sigh...
