Hello Dr. Saneesh, Very useful video. Can we use this in COVID-19 patients. Is it safe for the patient and care givers. I think exhalation gases with contamination can be a challenge. How to over come?

Thanks. Regarding your query, I am not an authority on CoVID. What I understand is that any airway device should incorporate an efficient viral filter to avoid equipment contamination. Due to spillage risk, proper PPE and other precautions should be mandatory.

The advantage of Ambu bag is that it works without oxygen supply too. You can provide positive pressure ventilation with room air itself!
