LEDs are one of the most commonly used electronic components. They need careful handling, though, and can be damaged by too much current or voltage.
In this video I show how to connect up LEDs and how to work out the correct resistors to use with them, as well as reviewing the common type and specifications for them. I also show how to measure the voltage and current in the LED circuit and demonstrate a couple of examples, including an LED connected to an Arduino output pin. The last part of the video gives some tips on choosing and using LEDs.
In the following parts of this series I'll look at connecting LEDs in series or parallel and how to make sure you have suitable power for them to work safely and effectively.

You have done and said all the right things in eight minutes. You have very nicely set yourself apart from 95% of KZread creators by not subjecting your viewers to any music, YO, WHATS UP KZread greeting, and lazy layman’s terms or ums. Hard to describe how much better that makes your videos. I can’t watch 75% of related KZread videos because they are annoying and frankly at times juvenile. Thank you.

Thanks a lot, Mike. I promise never to do any of those things 😀 - I think music is for links or with images - never under speech - and I completely agree with you about all the other points! I hope all your projects go well, best wishes from Mort / Q26Video

If we had 2 volts supply, do we need to use resistor? .......
