Been around ten years back MHC Kenworth had ordered in 2 Halliburton C500's 6X6 no rigging, bare frame with spare tire, 3406B's with Allison's. The cost sheet was $525k a piece. Couldn't imagine what these rigged up twin radiator 6X6 963's sold for.

C500 is the class of 25 ton payload. Over last 20 years the C500 trucks was replaced in Arabian oilfields by European 40 t class 6x6 or 8x8 trucks like Mercedes, MAN, Astra. Much better and faster to drive, better in service, 480 or more hp and much lower cost. Similar sand tires like 24x20.5 or 24x21. In this video you see a few of the last C500 trucks in the Middle East. Not often to see any more. The Kenworth 953 Super or 963 Super is made for 50 t payload and 80 t gross weight. Much stronger as a C500. In the 70's and 80's Kenworth was offering the C540, it was available in the same chassis configuration as a 953 Super.
