@babita sharma IISc offers admission to its four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme. IISER offer a five-year BS-MS dual degree program. Both are great. I think IISc is better for now but IISER will soon surpass it.

I am interested in astrophysics, i recently got AIR 872 in IISER APTITUDE TEST and 98.22%ile in jee mains...also going to appear for ADV...but i am quite confused whether to choose IISER or IITs ! And moreover, i want to get into ISRO as a space scientist

@@AB-zg5vy brother , i got selection through SCB and i got admission in 6th slot , and yes i rank is much lower but still i made it because I choose the float option during filling up my application form , So make sure you also tick your float option while fillingup. Exams are bit though nowadays but still study and don't stress too much on it , because when you stop expecting , the world will come to you . All the best !

Yes I joined IISER Pune by KVPY. It's really hard for a general candidate to get into IISER Pune other than KVPY/JEE stream

Research is first class in IISER, definitely on par with the IITs. IISER Mohali doesn't provide accommodation for PhDs though.

I would prefer IISER Kolkata over everything else. But the best institute definitely would be IIT M or IIT B.
