All about Aglaonema or Chinese evergreen ||Why are your Aglaonemas dying॥ऐगलोनेमा की कैसे करे देखभाल

Aglaonema
Aglaonema, also called ‘Chinese evergreens’, are a wonderfully diverse and colourful range of leafy plants that are native to tropical and sub tropical areas in Asia. Their foliage can be striking mottled mixtures of red, pink, silver, green, yellow or cream and can be used to bring life and colour to your home! You can plant them in shaded parts of the garden too, provided you live in a warm frost-free climate.
Full Sun
Indoors in a low to well lit position, away from direct sunlight. Outdoors in a brightly lit spot, away from direct sunlight
Water
Aglaonema prefer only slightly moist soil and can be allowed to almost dry out in between waterings
Soil
Well drained soil or good quality potting mix like Yates Potting Mix with Dynamic Lifter
Suitable for all climatic zones
All year round
Do aglaonema like to be misted?
This plant can survive in a low humidity environment, but it will thrive with higher humidity levels. Mist the leaves regularly to raise the humidity, especially during the drier winter months. This plant prefers temperatures in the 60's and 70's. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
aglaonema air purifier?
Aglaonema, commonly called Chinese Evergreen have been grown as luck-bringing ornamental plants in Asia for centuries. Best air purifier, Aglaonema plant is shown to clean out formaldehyde and benzene from the air in your home and more.
How do you keep aglaonema bushy?
You can make your Aglaonema bushier by pruning it, giving it moderate amounts of indirect sunlight, and keeping it at a temperature between 70 and 85 degrees F.
Direct sunlight will cause your Aglaonema's leaves to burn, which may damage the plant and prevent it from becoming bushy.
The Chinese evergreen (Aglaonema modestrum) contains calcium oxalate crystals which can cause intense pain and swelling in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract of your pet when chewed or swallowed, prompting the need for a veterinary visit.
What is the best fertilizer for aglaonema?
Aglaonemas don't require much food, so use a complete liquid fertilizer, fish/seaweed emulsion, or slow-release fertilizer once or twice in the growing season (spring through summer).
When should aglaonema be pruned?
Prune off any dead leaves in order to keep the houseplant looking its best. Trim them off as low as you can by reaching deep into the center of the plant. Another occasion for trimming Chinese evergreens comes in the spring if the plant produces flowers.
Do aglaonema plants bloom?
Almost all Aroideae species have flowers during summer. Few of them are blooming in spring or at the beginning of autumn. The flowering demonstrates that the plantae is mature, feels cozy and healthy.
leggy aglaonema
If yours gets leggy over time then simply cut the stems down to a couple of inches above the soil line to rejuvenate & stimulate new growth. Cut the stems with the foliage back to 4-8″ & propagate them in a light mix. I've rooted Aglaonema stems in water but never got around to planting them in the soil.
How do you prune aglaonema?
Dead-looking, mechanically damaged, yellow or brown stalks/petals need to be cut off too. It should be done up to the level of the wilt or damaged leafage. Prune your plant if it's large, but without much frondage. Cut back around 3 cm of few stems and new petals will emerge.
Aglaonema likes to be slightly root-bound, so it's a good idea to move to a pot that's slightly larger. Use a container with drainage holes to prevent soggy soil. Check for bugs. Scale insects can weaken Chinese Evergreen, causing its leaves to droop
aglaonema an indoor plant?
The Aglaonema is an excellent indoor plant for low light areas with gorgeous patterned leaves. This popular and durable indoor plant cleans and purifies indoor air by absorbing formaldehyde, carbon monoxide and benzene.

Hi Mr Makkar As a human being we continuously learn new things and new ideas . as I always say that I am a learner, Plant collector and gardening enthusiast. My first video is 2 years old and from then I have also learned and practiced so many new things and techniques. In many videos of mine I have told that I have learned so much from my previous mistakes. Even in the world of science and technology nothing is constant.I have never used charcoal in my plants but now I am using it in my philodendrons , calatheas, Aglaonema and many other tropical plants and it is only due to latest information and scholarly articles I have gone through . Agriculture & horticulture is a science , and day by day there is new R & D is taking place .so when I learn something new I always share it with my subscriber friends . Regards
