How to work with my video lessons? At first watch it and repeat all Russian sentences out loud and record yourself to check your pronunciation. After watching put down all sentences you can remember. Watch the video again in 5-6 hours and correct the mistakes in your sentences if you have any. Do the homework that I usually give at the end of each lesson. Watch the video again in 2 days and make your own examples with the patterns used.

I'm half Belarussian, and I've picked up on the majority of the Russian language thanks to my mom, however since I learnt English for the majority of my life, my Russian became weak, I am able to hold normal conversations, but I don't know how to say some words or how to fix my grammatical errors, and I have trouble reading words in Russian as well, I can read simple words like "hello", or something else that isn't too complex, but other than that I have a really funny way of speaking in Russian. And sometimes whenever my mother is speaking to my Russian/Belarussian family members I struggle to understand half of what they're saying because I wasn't taught Russian in the way most kids were

Learning Russian cases to me finally made me understand how all my classmates felt in math class during all those years of shortstory problems. It's 9:32 am on a Sunday morning with 40% coffee left in the pot. John has an itchy left ear and his shoelace won't stay tied because it's worn down too much. What is the ending of "spoon" in this case? To be fair, it doesn't help either that I don't know what half these case names even mean in English xD I assume Genitive has nothing to do with genitals though it sounds like it. Instrumental probably has little to do with music but it's still instrumental to learn it. The prepositional and accusative case probably do exactly what they say though?? Assuming dative means past/present as in dates on a calendar?

Интересно! И Страна....I think for the first time, I really get when to use Dative and when to use Accusative. I've heard it many times, but I seem to finally get that Dative is towards something/someone, and Accusative is just needing the object. Вы отлично!

Супер! Всё правильно! The easiest way is just to learn verbs that are used with Dative and Accusative. But the overall idea is exactly what you mean 👍

Im facing an issue, should i learn more words before going right into grammar and cases? I feel like i should but if i dont know how to apply grammar to those words then im not sure what the point would be

That's a good question. Ideally, it is to take a bunch of vocabulary when learning each grammar topic. So that you don't focus on grammar only or vocabulary only. For example, when you learn ordinal numbers, you learn how to say a date - Genitive case masculine adjectives. When you learn a vocabulary related to "Town", you learn Prepositional case - because it's logical to learn the names of the places with the question "где". And so on. Hope, you get the idea.
