As someone who lived in Juneau Alaska we didn’t experience much of the full winter solstice where the sun never rose. Also the summers were very rainy and beautiful.

As someone from Colorado, I would like to say a better depiction would be a frozen wasteland bordering a desert. The mountains are pretty iconic but the weather is the most chaotic part of living here. I woke up yesterday (it’s the start of June) and it was 40° F, at sunset it was 80°F
