Its weird tho. Destruction hellcaller is way more mobile than affliction now and is kindof a dot class

Man, hard to pick for Destro. On one hand, massive ruination nukes, on the other, consuming wither duration with chaos bolt looked like it over doubled the damage... decisions decisions.

So looks like I'll probably go warlock next expansion, seeing as Blizzards looks to be ignoring hunter existence once more so far in the alpha.

Ngl a more passive playstyle is a huge negative to me since I like specs like outlaw rogue which are just adrenaline crack, feels like a lot of the abilities in War Within are just things that might as well happen without my knowledge since it doesnt affect my playstyle

Really depends though. You get something like Diabolist or Sun fury, and the fact that they are technically all passive bonuses for just playing how you’re supposed to, they don’t really feel like they are.

Sure, but u need a break at some point. An alt to play when ur not feeling like getting amped up I personally like fast paced too, but tend to always end up on more passive classes because I'm playing after work and am already burnt out. Plus simpler means you can focus on macro play much more and that alone wins me games

seems the spec is a play off the word "diabolical"...which is pronounced die-uh-ball-ick-all? So shouldnt the "diabolist" be pronounced "die-uh-ball-ist" and not "dee-ab-oh-list"?

It's an actual word meaning devil worshipper. You are correct in pronunciation apparently but I'm still gonna use the other one.

Soul Harvest is by far the slow brother of three. Feels really lame both gameplay and theme wise. Diabolist I think takes the cake!

They ruined demonology though. The greater demons are on a 1 min CD and the talent that guarantees a demonic core charge when dogs expires is now a 35% chance so...unless they fix that demonology is in a REALLY bad spot if not completely dead on arrival

They are not on a 1 min cd. It’s still 20s reduced by shards The 1 min is the duration of the buff you get after activating them so you don’t lose the summon when moving between packs in dungeons, the change was a buff, not a nerf.

@slugfest513 I think you read the patch notes wrong. The latest changes have the pit lord overlord and mother of chaos on a 1 min rotation each. So demonology is back to "hey! My damage can come out when the mobs are 3/4 of the way dead!" Also the change to dogs not giving you 2 guaranteed demonic core charges is basically a nail in the coffin for demonology

@@lionwhyte___2634 nope, it was a wowhead typo. What was increased to 1 min was Diabolic art which is the buff you get after Diabolic Ritual ends. Diabolic ritual remains 20s duration reduced by shard spent

Great video again! Diabolist looks really fun, but still trash tier spec compared to MOP Warlock. Just a shadow of a former class to me. Pass

Nah this class is just a shadow of its prime time. Low QoL, low mobility, low m+ utility
