Never even considered Venom could be scorpion-influenced. Always thought of some type of snake. I'm way more excited for that, with that option. Great call!!

The Utah Outlaws is a Winner!. Have a built up rivalry between the Golden Knights and the Outlaws.

Caribou at 16 is a violation of the Geneva convention. It’s not perfect, but the Deer-type motif would be just such a gorgeous aesthetic for logos and jerseys. Maybe pronghorns instead of caribou, but still - would be beautiful

Haha. I just think it sounds bad. Pronghorns too. I like the Iowa Heartlanders, but I think its hard to name a deer-like team and have it sound good like that.

Honestly, the only ones I like at all as options are Venom, Swarm, Freeze, Yeti(s), Outlaws, and maybe Black Diamonds because it's unique. I played for a team called the Freeze growing up, so it does work, but I think other options are better. Venom, Swarm, and Outlaws would be my top picks personally.

Like verb SLEW - sound like hockey? UTAH SLEW suggests gladiators in a ring. SLAM v Hockey Club, SLUICE v Ice, SLALOM v Powder, SL Usyk v Fury, SLEIGH v Caribou, SLOG v Squall, SLICK v Freeze, SLIDE v Canyons, SLEDGE v Frost, SLIPE v Mountaineers, SLEET v Blizzard, SLINK v Black Diamonds, SLAG v Mammoth, SLAKE v Yeti, SLATE v Blast, SLAY v Outlaws, SLICE v Glaciers, SLOOSH v Swarm, SLIVE v Hive, SLITHER v Venom. UTAH SLAKE stands out for being so close in spelling to Salt Lake. You get the picture, hundreds of "SL" words out there. Get crackin'. UTAH SLARK is a combination of SL for Salt Lake, and ARK which contained every conceivable critter. Yeah, make up a word and explain it.

I agree. But if it had to be an American city, I'm glad it's somewhere new. I really hope they don't go back to Atlanta, but I wouldn't be surprised at this point if they eventually decided to.
