Because Adam never took the role seriously because if he had done it and had prepared himself physically for the role, he would have been a hunk and was almost the same height as Affleck.

I used to watch this show with my dad we loved laughing at all the fights and it made me smile it’s thanks to him I got know about Adam west(Batman) I loved every moment back then watch this with my father I’m glad I can reminisce back on this. @@ilikethecokev2 ironically, 60s lighthearted goofy Batman came as a result of comic book censorship. Prior to that early early Batman comics had much darker and grittier material, and if anything, modern Batman brought the character back to its roots

I dunno. Its the reverse for me. It's amazing how the villains fight alongside their henchmen. No shaky camera. And you see all the fights happening on screen at once.

Another difference... no bad guy is KOd by a single hit. The fight scenes are of course camp and silly, but also quite fluid and dynamic without being confusing.

Good point!!!! In the martial arts movies many times they wait their turn except in Enter The Dragon when a bunch of bad guys charged out of an elevator. Bruce Lee heard all voices inside the elevator before the doors opened and new to move to another location before the Tidal Wave of bad buys pours out of the elevator doors!!!! Lol!!!!🤣🤣🤣

I love how dynamic these fight scenes are. Robin takes a flying leap off a three-step staircase to land on a bunch of thugs, or rides a concession cart straight into the baddies, or swings from a hanging lamp to collide with some criminals.

batman the brave and the bold, nice

What I find hilarious about Adam West's Batman is that he's probably one of the more powerful Batman's ever created. His utility belt contains everything, he solves all riddles in a matter of seconds and he can survive any trap. He also has an OP Robin and a fencing Alfred who isn't afraid of donning the suit. At the end of the day, no matter who he faces, the opponent still ends up in plastic batcuffs with Adam West delivering a moral lesson to the audience. If all Batman's were to battle I'd put my money on Adam West's Batman.

That is so true!!!! Of all the Batmen, Adam has the best sense of logic and good judgement. In the Green Hornet movie The Green Hornet and Kato are lured into a trap that Adam West would have immediately seen right through it!!!! Batman (Adam West) would have said Robin tell me what you see. Robin (Burt Ward): I see four exits. Three exits blocked by a large truck and their is large truck truck parked right next to this exit in front of us!!!! Holy Ambush!!!! It's a trap!!!!! Batman: I'm proud of you Robin you were able to see right through it!!! OK. Take out the Batzooka and destroy all four trucks. After that use the bat guided rocket launcher to destroy the leader of these criminals he is over their on that hill!!!! Lol!!!!🤣🤣🤣

I seriously came for the Martial-Arts of Batman, and found what I'd call a good ol' American Brawl. Entertaining, very much so. Nonetheless, the 1960's Adam West Batman didn't focus on Martial-Arts. Thank you for posting.

These fights were fun and very nice, you laughed because they were healthy, they also looked very cartoonish, that was good and it was the best thing about Adam West's Batman Series. this Batman series didn't laugh at her, it laughed with her. It's okay because in those years before the series began, I'll tell you a brief story, what it seemed to me, there was the Vietnam War in those years, people were anguished and tired about this issue of war that they needed to be distracted in some way. , the Batman comics had to adapt to something more familiar and colorful to attract attention and distract people, because the bat comics were dark, and then with that change like that, the Batman series was born. What’s interesting is that after this being so cliche for so long watching it now is refreshing in a way since we’ve had that amount of time with edgy Batman movies and shows

Watched it in reruns on F/X, TV Land, VH-1, Sci-Fi Channel before SyFy, The Hub and before all that, The Family Channel from 1989-1992

I just started watching the old B/W Batman serials on TCM on Saturday mornings. They have the same fights with gangsters but no onoemonopedias. Plus the entrance into the Batcave is behind a Grandfather's clock.
