@Yuki Yuki Well, after some thinking ive also successfully did it against players in H2H campaigns. First i thought im going for silverins + sisters + few dragon princes for control +2 bolt throwers, but then you think about it and notice, that sisters hold pretty much the same in melee as silvering guard and cost the same and can dish some dmg before enemy closes in. IMHO campaign massively shifts power towards ranged units. Because the technologies as well as lord skills as well as higher exp. ranks all make ranged units stronger compared to melee units.

Lol u always want to play with doomstacks since they are WAY more effective against AI. You can buff 1 or 2 unit types beyond imagination. With HE it's mostly dragon spam with lord on dragon and a mage (lore of life) or Sisters of avelorn spam (with Alariel preferrably). The same with other races (Norsca's war mammoth spam, Chaos's dragon ogre shaggoth's spam). I can think only of a couple of races, that are weaker or relatively equal with generic armies comparing with doomstacks (Empire, Scaven, DE), but even then they have key units. Plus if you play higher difficulty, melee infantry becomes a cannon fodder mostly (I lost a battle with an savage orcs spam on a legendary difficulty to FREAKING ungors, lul), while ranged units and monsters can still deal the same damage.

@@redplague7996 actually wood elves do not have a proper doomstack too. I mean, Durthu's treemen spam isn't really a doomstack if you compare it to other monsters (dragons, necrofex colossus etc) cuz treemen (except Durthu himself) are not good at anything but holding their position. You can also spam waywatchers if you're playing Orion, and it will be good against quite a lot of enemies, because waywatchers outrange any missile unit in the game (if you have a few heroes with +10% range trait, they can even outrange some artillery) and are faster than majority of infantry units. The problem is that any army with enough cavalry (essentially any bretonnian army, for example) will absolutely destroy waywatcher spam with just a few cav units lost

Infantry and Cav don't perform as well in this game than previous Total War titles, so if you insist on using them in your armies turn the battle difficulty down to normal or easy. Otherwise just watch legendofTotalWar for some pointers

I think the only mod I would recommend for you is Decline Diplomacy. Basically, it declines all end turn diplomacy that npcs offer you such as tribute, alliance offers, and trade offers. Makes the end turn so much faster and not so annoying.

Came for the elves, stayed for the stick bug.

How do you cheese the Diplomatic Relations of the High Elves so high ?

arcomegis9999 I actually didn’t use any cheese for that. First, try to stick to just trade rights with the high elves, with the exception of any faction you really want to confederate, because sometimes Tyrion will declare war on them, and then you’ll lose your reliability. Also I gave a lot of gifts to them, and some of my assassination contracts also increased my diplomatic relations with HE. Lastly you can spend influence to get a faction to like you. I would recommend spending influence to sign a treaty with Tyrion AS SOON as you encounter him. (Tyrion’s really hostile, so he’ll probably declare war on you if you don’t start out on his good side)

Whats point to invest in blue skills for Anar? Shadow walkers is very cheap to maintain anyways, lighting strike isnt mandatory due to 100% ambush cause of 2 yellow skills. Oo
