Thanks for the reminder of them I can easily do them all day if I want since I now drive for a living but I still love to sing. I would like to have the range that I use to have back when I was in choir though... Anyways thanks for sharing this with us. Have fun take care

    Yawning is not a good exercise unless you really know what you're doing. Our natural inclination is to retract the tongue when yawning, and letting this tongue retraction creep into normal phonation is NOT good if you value freedom and clarity in your voice. Singers bewear.

  • @bharp4390

    @bharp4390

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@creamwobbly I said it is our natural inclination, meaning it is what most people tend to do by default. There are ways to yawn without retracting the tongue so much, but it usually takes a special amount of muscle independence to be able to do. The yawn can be a helpful tool to get students to feel the soft palatte rise, but it must be done with caution.

It sounded like there was no formal agreement made with the guy in the first place, which doesn't help things. While AE (Angela) came down harder than they probably should have, also not trying to address the issue at a lower level, it didn't help that the photographer just took it to Mach 1 publicly.
