I saw that this was about anxiety and depression, but I think this may be representative of a two-way abusive relationship. He has her feeling trapped, and she lets him think he's in control, but then ultimately she reverses the role and takes over him and he, being equally as in love with her as she is of him, allows her to do what she wants to him. I personally thought that this is symbolic of a relationship that, while they love each other, is equally as painful for both parties.

This is so good. Even 6 years later

I was in a toxic relationship, and I can relate in the way I interpreted it: none of these things actually happens, but the first section where she is being kidnapped represents her perception of the relationship, and the section where the guy is in the back of the car represents how he sees the relationship.

The way I saw it, the couple is in a perpetual state of changing roles of who has power. It seems like a symbol for the fact that when you're in love with someone they have power over you but like most things in nature, the feeling ebbs and flows, hence the change of power between the two.
