I appreciate the video, how about inputting your one horizontal layout and vertical profiles as you would see on a typical plat map? The "Design Data" part confused me. Can you walk us through the complete process of creating an alignment and profile and using it in the field NO IMPORTING this time. The Carlson Serv CE is easy to learn.

If 3D road data needed for Leica Stake Road (RoadRunner) app, see our video with en subtitles here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f4Ztz7qfotnfd8Y.html. DTM model Job or 3D pts & lines Job for stakeout require one step, simple export. For data preparation we recommend Leica iCON Office software, fully compatible with Leica Captivate, Viva, Nova, 1200 and 1100. Via Leica Job DBX format or universal XML as well. See our iCON Office playlist under following link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f4Ztz7qfotnfd8Y.html.

Hi Walter. See Fn Tools COGO. Captivate Roads has the functionality to calculate co-ords to offsets *and* offsets to co-ords.

How do you inverse to the alignment? That's my biggest hurdle.

You mean calculate a point using offsets from an alignment? In Roads Fn Tools there are COGO functions to calculate co-ordinates from offsets and offsets from co-ordinates.

@James Douglas I'll have to try that. I haven't bought the Roads app yet, but I still have almost all of the 40-hour trial period still, so I'll have to try that. I'm just trying to extract a station & offsets after I as-built stuff.
