Awsome overview Wes ! I was hoping you'd find the Mini Focus . I have an original mint Casio & was wondering what these were like ? I could buy a couple of these in different colours as daily beaters . Cheers

Aliexpress watches are evolving and I think in a couple of years the affordable Japanese brands would have very hard time to convince people to buy their watch as the value proposition of these watches are outstanding. Thanks for the video.

I BOUGHT 2 PAGANI to 7 TANDORIO.., closing the gap ..I may need a couple of those PAGANI DESIGN .!!!

Wish SM or one of the other top tiers would make a spirit design. SM does have a spirit zulu in production now, can't wait for that.

@@weswatches can't believe that 2 of the watches you selected were in my wish list! 🙂 it's great to see an affordable selection, I've bought over recent weeks a Winner XV automatic, which is excellent for £12 & I blew my £20 or less budget on a Pagani Design PD-1662 at about £48 which is beautiful and just a bit different.

Are you related to the Shiny things host? You have a very similar vibe and delivery.

I've ordered the Diver & a Nautilus - £6.50 each! Both have a sweeping second hand. Their other brand (Incaseda) do an automatic Willard at 41mm, which is interesting (44mm is too big for me), but I suspect the movement will be terrible.

I guess you somehow got the V1 of PD1717..easy to recognize by a short minute hand..V2 was released quite a while ago, with longer minute hand (all of the hands are longer actually) and better AR coating

That is so, yet in this super budget category every penny counts😆

I’m with JOMW on this one, I simply couldn’t own a watch with such a ridiculous brand name on it as PARNSPRE on the dial. Would consider if it had a sterile dial with no branding, like I did with my Tandorio pilots watch I’m waiting on

thanks for the informative video, I am impressed with Mini Focus as it is 36mm watch, but it is alloy made watch and hardlex crystal. imho I'd just add more and buy something worth waiting for the delivery from China to my place for around 10-14 days. but the pd1717 is most valuable watch here I think.

Agreed on almost everything you mentioned ☝️ i have not seen a split second Chronograph on AliExpress under $275...making that minifocus so unique and utterly unbelievable ..

@@weswatches true, mini focus is 15$ in the price of plastic casio watches, I mean why not, it is unique one to consider.

I have a slightly different model of niw, also with vk31, have had it for half a year. have lost 2 seconds

You've excelled yourself this time, I rather like all those 😁. Tempting! I like the bullhead, turtle and particularly the NIW. I like Bertucchi, but they are expensive for what they are and the Boderry homage dropped the fixed bars, can you double check the NIW has a stainless case, it looked all polished and it would be a lot easier to make those fixed bars in cast alloy 🤔

I notice the PD 1717 Longines homage is the version 1 with the shorter hands . I recently bought one in green from the same store you link to at a very competitive price as they were advertising the version 2 with revised longer hands . Watch arrived but like yours was the version 1 with the small hands . Not a deal breaker for many I expect but it was for me . I raised the matter with AE and posted it back foc . Refund was issued within a week . Disappointing experience but as it’s the first AE item I have ever returned was pleased with the no quibble outcome . Thought my experience might be of interest as often we might find a product unacceptable but consider the return process to be potentially too complicated , so we accept the status quo .

Mine was the reverse! I bought the V1 at a mega deal price of £36 plus tax and the V2 arrived!!! It's the luck of the draw.

I'd noticed the Mini Focus occasionally while looking at other brands it's just increased where I am in price by $1.50, but I still got it for $14.13!😁 Thanks to your presentation I decided to order it before the silver one goes out of stock or gets another price hike! lol 👍
