Dude, I thought this was my post. I fell down the exact same rabbit hole.

Don't quit. That's just the thing. That's the WHOLE concept of any SOCOM school. I've been told by more than a few folks who are MUCH more badass than I could ever be, that it's actually pretty hard to to get booted as long as long as instructors know that you will never quit. You may be recycled if you fail to meet a standard, but then you have another chance to not quit. Failing is acceptable, puking is acceptable, crying is acceptable, crawling is acceptable, quitting is the ONLY thing that is not acceptable.

One of the best HFY stories I’ve heard in a while! With great voice acting to boot. And nice to see another human narrator among all the soulless AI narrators doing HFY stories.

I find these stories so entertaining, keep up the good work

This is an incredible story. It called to mind all of the young men sent to Vietnam (I was in grade school), especially my brother and his friends. Alive or dead, came none of the boys came back, but the men they became are still struggling both physical and mental wounds. #22aday

I think for the last part where earth is kirons cruicble and the humans his instructiors shouldn't be instructiors it should be humans his forgers.

hfy stories are so cringe, i dont know why youtube always wants me to listen to them. we literally live on a paradise world thats looking for its equal. mild temperatures, near perfect orbital system conditions, relatively rare sun, tons of accessible ressources, very survivable weather and activity conditions, etc. even koalas survive here... if i had to try my best at making earth a harsh or death world, the only thing that would make the cut is the fact, that everything can survive here, no matter how repulsive it is. deadly flying insects, spiders, intestinal worms, p**is fish, parasitic fungi, all the good stuff
