If you like L4D and Aliens, youll love this game. Extremely refreshing after the lackluster Back 4 Blood beta. It's not perfect by any means but definitely fun and worth $40.

Leave medpacks for your Doc teammates, yes I agree it's a kind of silly system that needs some tweaking but for the time being you get more healing bang for your buck if you let the Docs do even the medkit healing. The act of picking up a medkit gives charge back to the trauma station but it doesn't use up the kit. So letting Doc pick up the kits and use them on you doubles your healing for the team as the doc can medpack the team (with increased healing if they perk for it) and fill the station for portable health.

@@bigwhopper6501 Yes sir, I'm not a huge fan of the mechanic but it's what we have atm. So currently most efficient way to work with a doc is to let them pick up packs and heal you as picking up the pack restores some charge in the station but the doc can still use the pack on a team mate.

Picked this game up 2 weeks ago. I'm hooked

Those tips really helped me. I've started playing that game today and completed a mission.

Shoot the red barrels, and keep shooting until your barrel turns red. lol

I do love the game but one thing I hope they let us do is what colonial marines did in terms of customization such as being able to change the armor colors n uniform colors along with decorating the armor with things like knives, pouches etc, and let us change decals on the armor. I just like bein able to make my character stand out more.

Like Halo 3 and Halo reach I think

I cannot express how incredibly fun this game is. Reminds me quite a bit of Vermintide 2 but in the Alien Universe obviously. The game is action combat focused, but has some light story elements that blend nicely into the Alien universe without bogging down the fun of the game (stuff over the coms while on missions, turning in things you find at the home base, etc). The environments are beautiful, and the game offers some pretty crazy challenge levels to play on. Definitely a must buy for anyone who loves the Alien universe.

@@ultimategohan1551 Yes. You queue up in matchmaking and if they don’t find any other players, it will fill out the team with AI team mates.

I barely heard a thing about this game when it released. Tried it out on gamepass a few days ago n I'm hooked!

The people who say”don’t buy it” are saying that because there might be Bugs glitches and the bots sometimes don’t help you, if you have friends online that ur good but if you play offline that’s okay no need to lash out on the game

A couple more tips. Besides the random cache box to find in story missions, there are also collectibles items to find that add to the story. Also learn the ping button. It helps in telling team mates where the items are or which targets to prioritize.

Loving this game 😎 so much fun, reminds me of old arcade shooters 😁 . Can get really intense, love it!

Any idea if there’s a way to check what missions you have and haven’t played on insane? Going for camos.

I’m a demolisher along with one of my friends we both use dif heavy guns tho he uses flame thrower for close fights and I use the machine gun for the longer ranges

Decent tips. Best one I had was you can hear the hidden cache ceates when you're near them

Can u open the tactical opportunities packs or do u do something else with them

Next tip, REMEMBER that unused consumables are brought back with you and added to your stash, so do you use it on the mission you found it, or do you bring it home to save credits and use in some other mission.

Play with friends, synth back up (solo play) is... ok but will be useless in higher difficulties. Plus its more fun with friends

How do you pick back up your turret

Unless you can do it that I haven't figured out a way I like playing with the AI but I wish you could outfit your whole team. I was a gunner at first and now I can't get past the end of the third level so I started doing the demolisher because he has heavy weapons. I just don't feel like playing the game all over again.

A few thousand Xenomorphs sounds like a lot but if your getting at least 100 per campaign mission then you should be fine

Don't use everything in the first "prepare for battle" if you know what are you against, for example in the first mission of the game. Just wait and use it in the last "prepare for battle" section, in this case when you call the elevator.

Yes if you have 4 skulls you can be downed for 4 times. After that you cant be revived

If you are close to them when they die, you will get burned by it. The exploder variants do even more damage when they die next to you. It’s a good incentive to not let a horde get on top of you or all hell breaks loose.

I love this game!

I played about 30 hours, have all the guns in the game so far. For future update, they should put more story campaign and add more horde mode defense maps, up to 6 players for extreme or insane difficulty.

They should allow one player of each type. A full team would have every skill and no duplicates. The game already allows you to change your character type in the pre-game menu.

Fun coop i can even ignore the very quiet weak gun sound effects,

I love this game.

Here's a tip-don't change anything. A Gunner with the default pulse rifle and shotgun is hell on wheels in basically every situation.

I think the Kramer Assault Rifle is better than the default one, and both of the Weyland-Yutani shotguns are quite good

If you search for a game and don't find some one back out and try again.. developer said that's one way to fix matchmaking right now

I wish they would add the M240 incinerator unit Flamethrower and the Under barrel Grenade launcher for the Pulse rifle as DLC or part of an update, Also The Sentry Guns are very small, not like the ones in the Aliens 1986 movie!!!!!

A little late, but the game takes liberties with the lore. You have plenty of architecture from the engineers planet where David is marooned, also engineers statues, big engineers statue heads, etc.

Not really there are just more difficulties and mutations for campaign missions. Sort of changed the game play depending on card. Don't get me wrong the game can be really really hard on the different difficulties but that's about it. Your main objective is to level up your character and weapons.

Game is good but my tip would be to slow down. Once you play all the campaigns a few times it feels like you need more to do.

Without attachments flamethrowers wont stumble so you die super fast

Game doesn't look like it'll survive the first 2 months of launch very well. Doesn't appear to be a notable endgame, and it looks like it can get repetitive really fast. Maybe if they switched it up for a Campaign + with completely random encounters of synths, xenos together, and even boss fights at odd places that are garunteed to catch you with your pants down if you're not careful. Also need tier based weapons with their own special effects unique to each one with the additional customization features...

There are many encounters where synthetics, xenos, and pathogens are mixed up in the same fight. Often fighting each other and the fire team for a 3 way combat experience. There are “boss” fights as well in the sense that high tier enemies emerge in certain parts of the mission that take a ton of firepower to kill and can easily 1v3 the fire team if they “are caught with their pants down” as you put it. There are also tier based weapons as you level up classes, and each weapon has its own perks that increase as you level up the specific weapon. Weapons also have customizable attachments that are unique to the class of weapons or to the specific weapon itself. So basically all the things you recommended, the game has in some form or another. I think it will last for a while, especially if new content updates come along. Edit: there is also an “endgame” to the campaign storyline culminating in encounters that I won’t spoil for you.

Four attempts at extraction mission, complete all the steps, so why the Delay to let us on the ship. Four teams killed at last part. Demoliaher is a great class, until they race off and leave the other players behind.

@@noragequiters1607 that doesnt make sense. you should already be next to the exit and ready to go if its an extraction. The game tells you guys where to go, so just be ready to sprint there and stop everything else you're doing as soon as its time to extract. If it still doesnt let u im absolutely sure 1 of you isnt actually at the extraction and is falling behind, hence why you're getting jumped. not supposed to fight them

To be honest I can't think of a way that fighting the queen would be fun. A queen from a different host maybe capable of spitting acid could be good though, but a human-born queen is just a tankier praetorian.

@@a_cats But could you imagine the queen, glued high up into a corner wall of a huge hangar, with drones running all over the walls and ceilings. You fight to burst her from her egg sack and she chases you around the whole hangar. You try to find cover behind walls or crates and she smashes them away and charges for you. The whole time the Technician works to open locked doors to free the power loaders, for use on the Queen. It could have been a great battle.

Number 1: Have good teammates

Essential tip/trick. Wait six months and pick the game up at a sizeable discount

Game is fun, feels good to kill xenomorphs :p

Try locations next time

Shame on this game when you can't get passed core lift once completed

LUL the hardest challenge cards for me was go a game without using heals LUL but we did it some how LUL

Facts, that was a true l4d reskin. This style of game is perfect for the aliens universe. It's also dope that each xeno behaves different I like that the xeno warrior does the stick and move over and over until u kill it

yes. the price is fair, theres free content planned for at least a year, and its a blast playing with friends. just know that it is a horde shooter with objectives like wwz, zombie army or left4dead. if you are fine with those it is amazing

No need to have a well balanced team, played the whole game as demolisher and only died twice. We had another demolisher and tech.

@@SeraphSlater this is defo not GTFO where communication is key. I was able to run off ahead separate and do whatever. As it stands I really like and enjoy this game but there isn't really a learning curve beyond learning the keys/buttons. Its on par with World wide Z

@@frankmcfly82 4 player coop is the standert yes. But with this game escpecialy on harder difficulty. It would be problamatic. Not enough space. Its already hard sometimes. With 3 players. That you cant shoot because you wil hurt your coplayers. Let alone with 4 players

I haven't been impressed by reviews or the shown gameplay. It looks so bland and repetitive. I'm gonna wait till the free DC comes out, more people come online and it comes down in price.

This is a nice filler until New World comes out. I just hope the DLC improves the game and doesn't turn out to be just "More of the same"

Ok...so here is a non-blabla review of the fighting mechanics: 1) just bash through a level until the game forces u to fight, thus funneling all xenos behind u 2) take the demolisher and try to do all 3 challanges per day and buy the impact grenade launcher + bigger mag attatchments for it 3) run the first level a few times and look up where the random chest can spawn for free stuff and level up at the same time 4)buy/unlock perks from challenge/chestfarming 5)profit and solo most levels up to the higher difficulties 6)be bored from doing the same and from the bullet sponges on high difficulty, wait for DLC
