It hasn't aged very graciously (I find it often cheesy, especially the xenomorphs themselves) but still fun stuff and the queen is great.

Back when Konami could do no wrong. This game actually would scare me as a kid. I didn't want to play it because of the attraction cut scene thing before you begin the game.

Imagine this game as Contra's cousin.

Ah, how I remembered playing this game back then, fighting over flamethrower of all things. Also there is an alternate winning condition for the last boss, in which you just beat the queen so hard it gets reduced to gibs.

I really wish that Aliens: Infestation had taken as many creative liberties with the franchise as this game did. This game is exciting partially because the player has no idea what kind of fucked-up xenomorph hybrid thing they might run into next, whereas Aliens: Infestation is so repetitive that I got bored with it. Maybe there should just be an Aliens video game timeline/canon and an Aliens cinematic timeline/canon, to give more creative freedom to game development studios?

Damn games back in the day were hard as fuck... All them quarters

Nope. Konami got the license to make an arcade shooter based off of Aliens. So they just went to town on it but changed certain things. Hence why Ripley is 'blonde'.

In the original movie they do not appear since the game came out in 1990 and the movie is from 1986, Konami only decided to create original characters using the movie license, it was not published for console due to the high price of the license

The game is a US version, the japanese version used original colors of the enemies and not exist the APC and Newt, min 7:15 bug in the game, for the final enemy have two models of killer but the only ending in the game
