This also takes place 5 years after Ripley's Daughter, Amanda, tried to locate the whereabouts of her Mother, and perished in the journey. So, in a way, We have a quadrilogy: ALIEN, ALIEN: Isolation, ALIEN: Romulus, and ALIENS. Nice.

The best thing about this is that Alvarez went practical with the FX. He said in an interview that they hired all the FX guys from ALIENS. He said he doesn't like green screen and wanted real sets and real animatronics.

Yeah naw the movie has 5 VFX Studios and 3 of them are ILM, WETA and Image Engine the movie will have a Ton of VFX Shots and there is more to it than just Greenscreens 😂 but yeah every Director is saying the Same shit at the end im Always blowing away when i watch the Interviews with the VFX Guys HOW MUCH WAS VFX 🤌

Apparently, both Ridley Scott and James Cameron have already seen "Alien: Romulus" and they both loved it.

They’re taking the franchise back to its roots! This film looks badass.

Fede Alvarez is the perfect director for an Alien movie. That dude has the knack of making enclosed spaces feel really claustrophobic which is perfect for an Alien film.

Only time I've ever seen Facehuggers get that aggresive was in the Aliens Dark Descent in the initial prologue.

My mom saw Alien in 1979 while she was pregnant with me. My mother describes the audiences reaction vividly. People were running out, there was crying, and people were getting sick. She mentioned it took her weeks to rid the visuals from her memory.

the way to handle the "chest burst" scene is to first watch the diner scene from Spaceballs. then you will never have a problem being scared of this happening in an alien movie again lol🤷‍♂

She's been in a lot of movies. Bad Times at the El Royale, Pacific Rim 2, Civil War, Priscilla etc.

I remember when I was little I used to have nightmares about roaming in an alien ship, I didn’t survive that shit.. it felt too real, all of the other crew members have died I was the only one left, offc I was the protagonist in my own dream, but man.. the environment I was in it was all a different setup, nothing like in the movies, unfamiliar, and sometimes the rooms and the corridors were tighter and more secluded than in the movies, but still the aliens could still get inside, sometimes the rooms were very large, dark and scary. Now with the new movie coming up soon, I might get to dream again about them aliens lurking in the shadows once more.

I had the same thought when I saw Fede Alvarez’s name in this trailer. “OH NO”.

Alien Isolation game vibes, that has to be Ripley's daughter on her search. Movie is between movie 1 and 2. Imdb doesn't list any character names, they keeping it hidden for the plot twist.

Alien Romulus is supposed to be a prequel to Alien, but I hope it really explains that reasoning why did Eleanor Ripley and The Nostromos was in that part of space.

When I was a kid, I remember thinking "What if the company went to where the Nostromo blew up?"...and then I thought "What if they found a burnt and charred body of some unknown lifeform?" I had no idea Fidel and Ridley would copy my then 12-year-old self's dumbass idea to make the plot work!:p/s Gotta admit I'm amused.

Looks promising for example: notice how they brought back the og maintenance corridors first seen on the nostromo

One thing about this franchise is they almost always have to have a female as the hero. I get it for the movies that had Rippley in the movie because she was the original central character. I don't know that I care much as long as it's well written, directed, and acted. Just something I noticed.

The Alien looks more like crabs than spiders to me. The Alien lays eggs inside its host and then it bursts out of the chest.

This looks so good. I’m hoping throughout the movie, we don’t get a whole lot of music. This looked so good. I want this movie to actually be as good as the trailer and not just the trailer.

May have already been said, but takes place between Alien and Aliens. I want to know the specific year, to place it either before or after Alien Isolation. The last time i saw that was Aliens: Dark Descent and Isolation. This seems to take place on a station like the Sevastopol from Isolation and that leads me to believe there’s either a s**t-ton of eggs brought aboard, or a Queen near the station’s reactor

@@outpost3178 Good, so it’ll be 2142, about 5 after Isolation. Since it looks to take place on a station, I wonder where they set it up at. It would have to be near LV-426 in order for the Company to get the eggs. And the Company somehow already knew about the shop before Aliens through Nostromo’s flight recorder, at least I think.

Same! When I saw "Fede Alvarez" in the teaser... I knew that this will be a disturbing, creepy, scary as sh*t, and violent as f*ck Alien movie. Saw his past films such as the remake of "Evil Dead" and "Don't Breathe" and I immediately knew this guy is a different breed of a horror director. I hope this will take back to the claustrophobic terror of the first one and if the "Predator" franchise had a resurgence because of "Prey", I hope the "Alien" franchise will also be the same with this.
