80's computer sounds are so unique.

the same ambient noise here can be heard inside of the gas processing vane in the reactor shaft that Vader and Luke fought at on cloud city in empire strikes back

😄Trzeba przyznać, że Obcy: Izolacja ma niesamowitą ścierzkę dźwiękową, która idealnie odwzorowuje o tą z orginalnego Obcego. A w tym sektorze medycznym to najbardziej dla mnie niepokojące są te ciągłe odgłosy powiewu wiatru stłumione przez wentylacje. 🌬😬 I również pozdrawiam.😉😁

This is TOTALLY stolen from Star Wars - listen to the background in The Empire Strikes Back during Luke and Vader's fight in Cloud City. This isn't the only thing I've heard this in - it's in a whole bunch of Si-Fi. Of course, a possible reason for that is the fact that Lucasfilm just does the sound effects for a lot of Si-Fi (Including Star Wars, though I don't know if it was called Lucasfilm yet) Anyway, maybe I was hasty saying this was "stolen" - likely just... reused by the same people.

Hasty alright. The sound effect is based on a Ridley Scott film "Alien", which was released on 25th May 1979. "The Empire Strikes Back" on the other hand released on the 17.May.1980. Almost a year later. So Star Wars more likely homaged ("TotAlLy stOleN" in your words) Alien.
