Serene Shelly, there’s an interview where she mentioned how Prince said she had an analog voice. It took me a minute to understand but it totally makes sense when you listen to her sing.

Makes me look at this song in such a spiritual way... it could represent a sufficient other & their standpoint, but I look at this as the unconditional love Jesus keeps giving me.. Thank you Jesus for your love & for never giving up. Thank you for saving me... 😔🙏🏽💙

I also think this year was kinda a bad year to release music because people aren’t really thinking about albums and with stuff closing and presidential stuffs, there’s only so much they can do to advertise for the album. Also she did back it up a bunch of times because of said pandemic.
