It's such a beautiful concept, forbidden love that follows each other through lifetimes.

Song reminds me of when I was getting out of rehab for drugs and alcohol. Putting those insane and dark days behind. Had so much to look forward to and to this day ive stayed clean and sober. Got my life together and i consider myself blessed. God knows i couldn't have done this by myself. One day at a time folks! 🙏🏼

+kaylamari It was! I was smiling and laughing. Me and this white was together for a seconds. He seemed concerned about the racial difference, but I didn't care. Once we went into this one store and he asked if i'd been in there. I was getting ready to say no when he was like,"I know its a really white store (bass pro shop)." I was like,"its a hunting store. I don't hunt." Then I remember coming across some really evil, racist shit, and for the first time in my life I thought that white people couldn't be forgiven. Were they all the same? It was the worst feeling in the world. I immediately wanted to run to his job and just hold him. This video is just so much.

I would've kicked the screen door open and ran to him lol.... LOVE this video.

It's 2018, it's about time that persons stop degrading individuals who are comfortable in their own bodies and are confident, brave enough even, to express their sexuality freely and exercise their right to do so. That's not just in music, this happens in regular workplaces. There are quite a few artist's nowadays who would be unknown if they never relied on gimmicks and showing their body. Alicia Keys is a true artist who's loved because of her timeless music and art.

This is the reason I cry every time I watch this music video. So many people in my grandparents’ generation were forced to marry people they didn’t love (arranged marriage), and I guarantee you they each left behind someone they loved 😭 Hopefully they have all reunited now in heaven 🙏🏻

Omgoodness 2024 and I'm still loving this song. Could've been on my billboard top 100 for 2023 lol

I remember when this song came out. They played it over n over again on a radio station in NY 4th of July weekend. I was with my husband of 27 years the whole time. It was a great weekend. Sadly it would be the last 4th we would spend together. A year later I left him because of emotional abuse ( just couldn’t endure it anymore). I’m grateful for the good times we did have. I’m happy that I was strong enough to move on in life. I cried for a long time every time I head this song. I’m glad today I can listen without all the tears.
