I have a question, if I equip the "Hattress" dress and I run out of teeth to loose than do I take actual damage?

I guess so. I have a vague memory of trying this a long time ago, and I'm pretty sure that's the way it worked. Otherwise, the dress would make you literally invincible

Haha, you piqued my curiosity. I did a re-check. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oXpspa-BlJu2hpc.html I thought this was gonna take long, seeing as I had over 1k Teeth, but on Nightmare difficulty, I kept losing more and more Teeth every time I took damage. I may want to retry with other difficulties sometime in future.

amnesiaPUZZLES haha, sorry I think it's just every time you loose 1 whole rose it counts as 8 teeth because one rose is technically 8

Yeah, it's a very versatile tool, not only for thus Menacing Ruin fight. I absolutely recommend everyone to fix the keyboard bug, to be able to use the Umbrella as much as possible, as it really helps in gameplay

That tea canon upgrade is really worth it

Yes! This is the most important weapon in the game and worth saving up your Teeth for the upgrade

wow... i cant even imagine playing through this god forsaken game on nightmare without ever taking a single hit. I did it recently just without upgrading any of my weapons and thought THAT was hard. died so many times that i cant even give you an accurate count.

Trust me, when I played it for the first time, I couldn't beat chapter 2. Like some random fight with the Ruin. I kept dying forever and wanted to rage-quit. I'm laughing at it now. Now it's a breeze for me. I spent MANY hours playing this game before I made these videos. And hey, good for you for being able to beat it without the upgrades! Well done, and only you know how much effort this cost you 🥵💪

This is called the Dress of Paper, it's a mod. You can find it in the description of the video. You download it, and then apply the skin over one of the dresses available in-game to make it work

Download TexMod somewhere online, and there are tutorials on how to use this program. I don't have it installed right now. It's really simple; first, you just choose the location of the hair pack file, and then the application that should use this mod (in this case, Alice.exe or whatever it's called)

Haha, thanks! :) Yeah, they're pretty mean. Most mischievous, definitely. ;) Some more or less general gameplay tips from me: 1) ALWAYS block with your Umbrella, instead of Dodging; many people seem to forget it's just supposed to serve as a shield that will always protect you, even if you think you'll get hit, just block in the last moment - Umbrella is equipped immediately, as you can see in the video, it will stop animation of Alice finishing a combo and defend you. Also, use it against the Colossal's fire attack (yes, it works), and when it shoots projectiles - it will stop them from rolling around you and exploding randomly :) When you deflect the Menacing Ruin's projectile and destroy its defense, don't deflect any more missiles, it's pointless and doesn't deal any damage. 2) Use the Clockwork Bomb, all the time. It will draw the attention of 95% of enemies, so that they'll leave you alone, plus it deals some damage (e.g. destroys Madcaps' shields, stuns Eyepots, opens Wasps' defenses etc.) Dealing with even 2 enemies at once is rather risky in this game... 3) When you're surrounded, triple jump + dodge away, the fastest way to escape 4) When you see the characteristic action slowdown just before an attack (often goes with a 'ding!' sound) this is when you press the Dodge key, if you prefer to Dodge. It must be timed precisely, but you can stay focused on an enemy so you can continue your attack as soon as you materialise back, so it has its benefits 5) Consider playing with a gamepad, if possible - I felt more comfortable with it. Also, it's very easy to trigger Hysteria on a controller. 6) You move faster when you keep Dodging. You move even faster when you jump, Twirl and Dodge. 7) Hobby Horse was least useful to me... Heavy, slow and makes you vulnerable for attack. Use it only when your enemy is stunned. 8) Enable 60fps if you still haven't. You'll find the solution on the internet. It will be easier for you to play and react spontaneously. 9) If you're not escaping from enemies or defending yourself, attack. The longer you stay on the battlefield, the bigger the chances of getting hurt, aren't they? ;) Also, last, but probably most important... Trust your instincts. :) I focused too much on planning and thinking, instead of letting my reflexes do their job. This game really is a no-brainer. Relax, and enjoy it. ;)

+amnesiaPUZZLES some attacks cant be blocked by the Umbrella for example the Menancing Ruin's Splash attack in a straight line when using the umbrella you see an animation of her like throwing it away the umbrella

Trinity Galatea Oh, I see. All attacks can be blocked (except for Executioner and Dollmaker IIRC), some of them are just too strong so that they knock the umbrella out of her hands, but she's still protected, hence no damage. The ranged attacks can be deflected, and that's another feature

I have never seen the last dress when she fight with final Boss!! Can you tell me what is it useful ?

It's a texture mod made by a fan, called the *Dress of Paper*, you can find the download link in the description. In other words--it's a Classic dress, but replaced with a different texture. You're either watching on mobile/tablet, or on PC with annotations off, because I mentioned that it's just a mod, when the battle starts. *;)*

It adds to the challenge, if someone wants to make their game more difficult, rather than easier. Enemies, when killed, don't drop any Roses, so you can't replenish your Health directly from enemies

I hate that credit card information is needed to buy backwards compatible games for Xbox One. I can get a physical copy from GameStop, but I can't download de free Alice game that was added as dlc for Madness Returns, or buy the other dlc because of this. Change it Microsoft.

This is amazing! Have you ever done that combo where one utilizes the hobby horse and vorpal blade in a constant spinning motion? I saw a video of it and it tore apart easily through the menacing ruin and cannonball crabs.

Amazing gaming skill * . * I guess it's the same trick, just performed even faster. The combo truly kicks ass! Yet another video proving mouse + keyboard can do so much more. No, I can't do any of this; for _Alice_, I'd switched to the controller a long time ago, just for the comfort and ease of use. Makes me wanna switch back-I'd love to learn these tricks. +Andre Aniste On a console, you have to buy it separately, for all I know. On PC, you have it installed with the game automatically, you just need to modify one of your config files to enable it in-game. When you buy it on PC (at least, on Origin) the DLC files are already included and you don't have to buy it. You only have to change the that one config file. When you get in on Xbox or PlayStation, you buy the DLC packs separately.

Sorry for asking 5000+ questions but why does Alice's hair look SOOO much better in the menus here than in my game? She has side bangs she just has overall better hair graphics here (on the menus screen)

It's alright, but the game was designed for console and it works smooth like butter with a controller, in my opinion. It's the movement of the main character that is put in the centre of the screen that is the most important, and the analogue stick works best for it, plus there's no precise aiming in gameplay (in fight, just for the Snouts) so you don't need a mouse, really

I bought the game on Origin, Standard Edition. Sorry to hear you're having trouble with that :/ Try to revert that change to make your game work again, if you remember which line you modified

Would you say it's worth getting the DLC for this game? I love the designs of it all and it looks like they'll be helpful for playing the harder difficulties, but I'm not sure about whether to actually buy it or not. Also out of curiosity, are you playing on a console or PC?

For $2, I would say go for it. But when you buy for PC, the DLC is included in the price of the main game, and you can find the game for less than $20 (e.g. on G2A). I play on PC with the controller.

Izzy Iggilypuff Gameplay is buggy for keyboard, I've also had issues with equipping the Umbrella once picked up, also on a keyboard, there's obviously only one key for switching locked-on targets, while on a controller you can nudge the stick in any direction; these are main issues with gameplay I guess

got the steam version...i dont see any dlc download option anywhere

I *restored* my HP by using the Knightmare (Hobby Horse DLC), you can see I started the battle with 2 Roses missing.
