Do you happen to have a date or venue for this show? I can't find this on concert archive resource sites I use. They did do some makeup shows in this time period out in the PNW area which I've found are sometimes not documented.

This could have actually been at The Evergreen State college in Olympia. Around the end of August beginning of September 1992. It's been almost 30 years. You do so many tours and you forget were you were yesterday. LOL

@@masterdread1295 Thanks! I do appreciate your response & completely understand the difficulties of remembering that far back. LOL. Layne's birthday is August 22 and it seems like they could be celebrating that in this clip. Does that ring a bell? Also, the Evergreen State College show was on August 27th, so a few days after his birthday.

Ar around 0:41 you can hear someone in the crowd saying “Show us your t*ts!” so I think Layne was doing just that.

Okay first, the video said Oregon, not Washington, but okay... Was there an actual DATE for this video? Was this another one of Layne's birthdays? The poor guy had to sing and couldn't partake as an I'm assuming SINGLE, hot-blooded guy would have? Being a realist, boys will boys in those situations.

Check out Mark Lanegan's book about what he and Layne were up to during that time - it seems they partook of everything...

@@DepthWish To hell with Mark Lanegan's book... I read Mark Lanegan's book. It pissed me off more than anything. If you read David de Sola's book, yes, Layne's life is tragic and it's haunting how he died, how he was found. But the guy had a life that he lived to the utmost (even with his addiction issues that ultimately made him a recluse.) If you read Mark Lanegan's book, according to his narrative, all I got was that Layne lived a bleak existence after Mark met him. In my opinion, he could claim Layne to be a twin brother he never had and all, and he probably didn't make Layne's situation worse, but he also didn't help matters any either. In fact, when Layne stayed with him for four months or so after Demri died before moving back to the isolation of the condo, LAYNE was paying the rent on Mark's place. He was using Layne for money and a drug supply. All the while telling Jerry, "Sure, I can get in and get him into a recording studio for you." So, yeah, Mark's book didn't impress me unless it was to prove that "hey, you can call the guy your best friend while using him to pay for your rent and your next fix." I did notice that after a few tour dates, Lanegan never gives a time line, so you have to guess when some events occur that he talks about. There's also a section in the book, where DEMRI has heart surgery (one of 2 THAT LAYNE PAID FOR and Layne paid for 2 lung surgeries she had), and she shows up on Lanegan's doorstep looking for junk in her hospital gown and an IV pole, having come from the recovery room AFTER they put a pacemaker in her body due to endocarditis! Can't see how anyone, least of all LANEGAN kept that stunt from Layne. *headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk* No wonder Layne died in isolation. Demri didn't even think to be grateful for the pacemaker or the man who had paid for it because HE LOVED HER more than she loved him. She just went looking for the next hit. And what he had to deal with while staying at Mark's place. I'd isolate myself in a condo and not answer the door or phone too if I were him. But Layne lost sight of who was using him and who was an actual true friend. Mike McCready and Maynard James Keenan were more of a friend to Layne (as much as he could be with a drug addict) than Lanegan was. What the hell was Jerry thinking flying Lanegan up to Seattle to get Layne out of the condo? Mark Lanegan (and Demri, who I was never a fan of) and the way he describes Layne leading a bleak life (parts of it were bleak maybe, but not ALL of it like Lanegan makes it seem) pissed me off. Not to mention, Lanegan burned a lot of bridges pissing everyone off when he wrote that book.

@@tamibrandt - you've got a lot more insight , I'll have to check out the de Sola book. I didn't walk away from Lanegan's account thinking that he was any type of great guy or that he did anything to really help Layne much. I think he portrays himself as being pretty selfish in a lot of the situations.

@@DepthWish David de Sola's book is Alice In Chains The Untold Story. It tells AIC's history using Layne's life from birth to death as a timeline. Whatever you do, DO NOT read Angry Chair.... it was written by some woman with the last name Rubio (shows you how much I don't care for that book, I can't remember her first name). But anyway, her book is FAKE, based on a falsified interview that NEVER happened other than in her mind. In fact, she was practically stalking Layne and trying to get interviews from his mother and sister. Layne told them NOT to talk to her and leave him alone, if Rubio wants to write a book, she should write about herself. He wanted nothing to do with her.
