We face the path of time
And yet I fight, and yet I fight this battle all alone
No one to cry to, no place to call home

I am now 33 years old but my dad turned me on to this song about 4 years ago. I was deep in heroin/fetynal addiction. As I was listening to this song he told me how Layne Staley was found by his mother after an OD and I can honestly say there isn't not 1 other song out there that catches me like this. @thewarriorsgarden-83
3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, however I'm no hero, but I was lucky enough to know and stand beside many. And I've fucked things up way more than I've ever won. It's not how many times we fall, but how many times we've stood back up. I was depressed and suicidal after the war and after loosing my family and gained almost 80 pounds in a year or so. Now I manage a chain of gyms and am in better shape than when I was in the military. The story of your life is not written in your failures, for in failing there are lessons to learn but only if you keep your heart open. It's not easy but it is worth it. Train yourself to look for and find the good in any situation. The thing itself is not bad, only our perception of the thing, once we are able to stand back and look from different perspectives we will realize the power to change the thing, obesity, depression, whatever it may be, exists inside of us. Everything you need to succeed and be happy is already inside you. I know it sounds corny but I swear it's the truth. Infinite potential exists within all of us. This is why it's so important to believe in yourself. Others will quit on you. It's just part of life. But you must never quit on yourself.
The worst feeling of being alone is when you're alone in a crowd. RIP Layne

How Layne just walks out, soul already dead but body still alive, and belts this song out perfectly just shows the talent he had.
