Not trying to troll or anything, but this is one of the easier songs for me. Like, if I had to sing 1 song in front of people, I'd pick this one. I still suck at singing most of the time, but this one (and other AiC songs) just feel natural for my voice.

That bass is a monster

I'm home alone and live out in the country so it's actually the perfect time to practice this song and so far, I'm somewhat nailing it??? There have been a few times where my voice has cracked (very embarrassing), but I've been getting better with that not happening. Hopefully I'll be able to sing this well enough to perform at a talent show or something because it would be SICK if I hit all the notes. I'd love to give the song justice if I ever sang it in front of anyone.

I get so easily over stimulated by sounds that it is amazing to be able to find such a quality version of the songs I love... It makes it almost impossible for me to sing a song when it's in a completely different key that I've only ever heard maybe once or twice... Your videos make it easy for me to actually be able to enjoy doing karaoke, thank you so much!!!!!!

If I’m remembering correctly the hook is a B4-flat. Layne hits it from “Feed” all the way through “My” then he drops off for “Eyes”… same for the “Jesus” line and “He who try’s” line. If you don’t sustain the Bb4 it sounds off and a bit weak. It actually takes a little bit of power to pull it off. It’s not that it’s a crazy high note to hit it’s just an awkward note to sustain… especially for three lines in a row. 🤘🤯

I agree, but is a high note for a male anyway( unless you are an a high baritone or a tenor(low tenor like a layne)

Not to brag, but, I've been nailing this. Trying for years, even have opera training, hard song to sing. Feels great to do it. Layne had the greatest voice ever, you can feel everything he went through.

Layne was just .. something else man. I know someone who can sing nearly 4 octaves of range and she can’t handle that sustained note for even a movement.

One of the bands that don`t get good vocal covers because no one can sing like Layne

that moment when you learned how to do gritty vocals correctly and you hit the high notes easily but the clean low notes after that turn out weak and quiet also the "won't" in "won't you come and save me" line is just around my vocal break and it's hard to hit it

I didn't grow up on Rockband listening, but had two older brothers and dad (and mom, "shouthaut") in the early 90's, so I know exactly what you mean, but speaking strictly for myself, I cannot even come close. I've recorded myself a few times, and I still sound so shit compared to Layne. Maybe it's just me hearing my own voice, or I just suck compared to him (this is the actual truth) despite 10,000+ times listenig and mimicking his sound, but "heeeee who tries... will be wasted". RIP Layne and dad.🥲😢 Godamn I just love this song, and had to type this all this bullshit. Carry on 🍻
