I like that he's not trying to copy Layne he's really singing it through his own imagination JUST LIKE LAYNE WAS SINGING IT THROUGH HIS IMAGINATION that's why I don't like to many covers cause most of the time people are just copying the singer note from note word to word I don't understand why people do that it bugs me.

Thanks :) I made this cover right after first discovering this song (terribly late, I know), so I was not yet that familiar with the way he sounds. Just went with what seemed natural. Went through the discography later though, what a great band!

Appreciate fully that he doesn’t try to sound like layne, and what a great voice and it sounds fairly raw. I just don’t like the vibe he’s singing, it feels like a ballad. The original to me feels like a soliloquy. Nonetheless great cover

This guys good, but this is one song by one man, I don't want to hear altered, layne sang this song the way it should be sang, with pain, and emotion, loud energy, and it shouldn't be interpreted as something that it isn't, there is no interpretation of down in a hole, no alteration or covers, kudos to the man who sang this cover, but, unless you feel and sound like layne did, this song will not sound good

Not masochistic at all, it's not hurtful for me to hear it, and it's not a bad thing to look up alternate versions of songs you hold dear, I'd love to hear a faithfull renditition of it, what I meant by there are no covers, was there haven't been any that I feel are worthy of the song, not that no one should cover it, and I believe the singer is great, just not the song choice, my opinion, no masochism or disrespect to the singer my friend
