I dont understand either ; I just discovered her tonight and this was the first song and so far this is her best song and Im confused too because its her signature even if it has that poppy element with the 'hi my name is' part but the way it unfolds into her vocals through the chorus is like... its not "pop star" its Alice Chater. If shes making more music, I hope its like this because the vocals and expression are wow.

Pop is already not "just Pop" and has actually many facets but......... I guess I get what you mean. I think I just wanted to give some examples of Pop Artists I really appreciate and are not just "superficial artists that just sexualize themselves for money", because I always feel like many people look down on the Pop-Genre even though it deserves better and has some really creative minds Also doesn't mean that I don't appreciate this song or the artist now, just wanted to protect the genre haha

This just always bothers me it's a common misconception. Men have falsettos and women have head voices. They are not the same thing although they are both used to acces the higher range in voices.

@@IthinkIloveyouNOT um, no? Women have head voice and falsetto, and men also. They're both M2, but falsetto is disconnected from chest voice, while head voice is connected. Falsetto is sort of a back-up in your voice (if you're trying to go too high, you'll switch into falsetto to avoid vocal damage). Everyone has falsetto and head voice, (if u don't believe - check out Mariah Carey or ari) there's no gender-thing in that.
