Alice-ART Gelatine-Druck "Rehe", gelatin print "Deers" with homemade gelatin plate

Hier geht es zu meinen Online-Workshops: alice-art-workshops.de
Mit einer großen selbstgemachten Gelatine-Platte werden Rehe gedruckt. Die Rehe sind Schablonen, ausgeschnitten aus dicken Papier (170 g/m2). Im Video wurden sie vorher schon einmal benutzt, daher sind sie voller Farbe. Dieses Mal gehe ich anders vor, als in den anderen Videos und überrolle im Prozess die Schablonen mit der Acrylfarbe und nehme dann die Schablonen wieder heraus. Vor dem nächsten Druck werden dann einige Reh-Schablonen wieder eingelegt, um Farbvarianten zu erhalten. Sie müssen vorher mit einem Haushaltstuch von der nassen Acrylfarbe gesäubert werden, sonst kleben sie am Papier fest. Viel Spaß beim Zuschauen.

    I look forward to seeing what you will be creating next. I am playing with drawing on kid's fun foam to make prints. They look like linotypes -- but without having to cut into a surface. I'll share my samples when I photograph them. Have a good week!!

    what an interesting process....at first I thought you sure use a lot of paint but after watching I realize it was needed for the time it takes to lay down the figures and to be able to pull multiple prints. Awesome art you have made, I'm so impressed. Saved to watch again and again so I can try my hand at it!!

    Thanks for sharing your work (and your methods) Ruth Alice. I admire your work and hope you keep uploading these instructive videos. Your confidence when you work is an example to others. Do you do lots of planning prior to beginning? As a point of information, the English plural for deer is 'deer' (same goes for 'fish'). No particular logic; we're just weird like that.

    +graciela fuentes Hola Graciela, que mezcla pintura acrílica con retardador, si encuentra que se seque demasiado rápido a la placa de gelatina. Normalmente utilizo el color y sin aditivos. Muchos saludos. Ruth Alice

    Hallo Minna, I had been in France in some caves. It was very impressing. Most of the time I use paper called "Chinaskizzenpapier". It is not as thin as Chinapapier. In Germany you can get it at BOESNER.

    Hallo Angie, usually I work with a very thin, but tearproof paper. Its from china delivered on a roll. I only know the German word: China-Skizzen-Papier (china sketching paper). I buy it at a artist market (boesner).

    What gelli plate brand are you using please? I have problems with gelli plate printing, my paper always sticks to the plate and when I pull my print the paper has torn and stuck fast in areas to the plate. Can you say what I'm doing wrong please?

    yes, I cut out the masks myself, simply made of thick paper, so that they were not very durable and quickly broke.
