Charlie King was one of the great western villains of all time. Right up there with Harry Woods, Roy Barcroft & George Chesebro.

One of the better written ones.

The horse closing the barn door is an example of Maynard's training. Maynard had a talent for it. Too bad he had a problem with the bottle.

Many of the matinee heroes carried two pistols on their gun belt when a Winchester had the capacity of two 6-guns and greater range. The real Western rangers and marshals wouldn't have dreamed of chasing outlaws without a Winchester on their saddle.

John old boy, the writers are attempting to mimic the vernacular of the time period being portrayed. Savvy?

This was before Charles King (Black) got his belly. Almost always played a bad guy.
