Because he can flat out sing! He has an amazing voice and doesn't have to rely on being loud or yelling his songs. He has a very exceptionally natural talent. It's obvious he should have been the winner. But this show leans more towards a certain genre even though it claims to be for all.

I know I’m a bit late😂 but he is an amazing singer but I feel like he was trying a bit too hard to out preform Ali but I feel like if he wasn’t as active during his performance possibly could’ve won. But idk I’m not a big superstar producer so I guess imma leave it to them. (But at the same time I still think Ali did amazing and I think I would’ve chose her)

Funny enough - I was telling my girl how I thought Ali should have won the four and walla - we came here to watch her performances again - only to see several people saying same thing. My girl was surprised at how my mind works. I love Ali from my the deep of my heart.

Anthony would've won with the right song choice, he didn't showcase much of his sustained high notes which is in my opinion his greatest weapon. His voice is unique and magical but Sam Smith song is not a bad choice for him but also not the best
