The whole album Journey is great work in my opinion. But I do not know about more classical-pop fusion recordings made by Ustad himself. What I know is that each raga played by him is of the highest quality. He was and still is one of the best...

yes. lovely music.. the descendants of Ali Akbar Khan were court musicians. Emperor Akbar had one very famous musician named Tansen, who would light the candles of the palace simply by singing raag deepak, (melody of lamps) and bring the rains by singing raag megh, (melody of clouds). He was said to have left the world after he created a devastating fire with his own singing. Ali Akbar Khan was no ordinary musician, & we were fortunate to have him living & playing music the majority of his life near San Francisco, California. I'm grateful for his legacy. "Journey" was the only CD my husband and I played in our Pontiac Grand Am going to and from our job. And boy!.. did it get me up in the morning, & put me to sleep at night!
