France won this game vs a strong Japanese eleven. 8 of the 11 starters for Japan in this game also started in the final of the 2015 WWC vs the USA team (Kumagai, Miyama, Kawasumi, Ohno, Utsugi, Ogimi, Ariyoshi, and Kahori the GK). Another starter in this Algarve Cup game, #24 Sugasawa, was used as a sub vs the USA since minute 39, as she is a forward and they needed offensive to offset the strong start of the USA in the World Cup Final.

Thiney was amazing in this game. Scored penalty to the first goal, assisted Le Sommer for the second, and took the ball away from the Japanese defender to score the third.

France was a killer buzz saw in the World Cup that should have been on the same side of the bracket as Japan. The U.S. team was lucky they didn't have to play France and that a weakened Germany survived their match with France. France will be ready in Rio for sure!

They did not meet in this tournament. They played for the first time just 4 months before the World Cup. The match was played in cold weather and the French team dominated and ended up winning 2 - 0. That match is available to watch here on KZread. They met again for the Algarve Cup championship match where the U.S. team won 2 - 0. That match is also available for viewing on KZread. The World Cup match between France and Germany was dominated by France in every way but the score. I watched that entire match 4 times. France was upset by Columbia, but they dominated their other opponents. The U.S. team got lucky this tournament. Stay tuned for Rio.

France Would have lost to the U.S....... You know it and everyone knows it. Necib And Les Sommer is the best thing France have to offer.

softclay4thought There has never been such a myth, they won one world cup that's all, they didn't win the last Olympics nor last week's EAFF cup, nor the previous one, so idk where you get that from, but aI think with a better they could have won all that. It's still my favorite team and the only team that makes me like this sport.

softclay4thought That's something you gotta say to the coach. And from what I've often read, the current coach might be the worst thing to have happened to Nadeshiko Japan since he signed up.
