What is going on everyone! It is the follow up video on the Santa Monica Rain2 Algae Turf Scrubber that I setup awhile ago. The question is, did it work? Will this eliminate aquarium water changes? Do you not have to do water changes on your fish tank ever again? We will see in the video. Of course water changes are super important to re introduce needed elements to a reef tank. These algae scrubbers do a great job of keeping your nutrient levels stable. That is the key to a successful aquarium, stable water conditions. And we do something fun in the video as well. Things that I have to take care of on the property.
Thanks for tuning in. Please consider subscribing, liking, commenting and sharing. I hope to see you on the next video!

    Algea scrubber. Nice video 👍🏻 Isn’t it better to scrape off one side and leave the other side on. Next time different side. It’s just to keep a portion of algea on the scrubber so you don’t get fluctuations in nutritions. Just a thought 🤔

    Nice algae scrubber! If you still have an mbuna tank, you should feed that scraped off algae to them. I do it with mine and they love it.

    Next time bro, maybe try what we do.. just pickup a couple 4 hour burn logs.. stuff a couple in the middle of the pile and could definitely save on the propane or whatever you use

    Good content as usual 👏 👌. I've always thought to make any difference with exporting phosphate etc you would need a sizable fuge. Im very curious to see if the small amount of alge that you take out over the next coming months makes any difference. Keep up the good work 👍

    I grow a lot more algae in fresh water on a DIY algae scrubber with a foam base. I don't know how large your tank is but that amount of algae production i predict will have little impact on water parameters. It will result in less algae growth in the main tank

    So do u have to do water changes after using this system? If have to do, it is for how many interval?

  • @inventoryking

    @inventoryking

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes you still need to do water changes to replenish the elements or dos. You just get away with longer stretches of time without water changed since it scrubs Nitrates and Phosphates
