Hey, guys. Great video as always. You captured such clear video of everything! I just did this on our 2021 Stelvio back in July 2021 and wanted to mention (sorry if you did and I missed it) that the steering wheel nut is one-time-use according to Alfa Romeo. Now, I've reused the steering wheel nut on many other cars and never had an issue, but since Alfa said to replace it, I bought a new nut. The part number is 6510584AA and torques 33 to 40 ft/lb if you decide you want it. I decided to trust Alfa Romeo lol!! Ciao!

Really appreciate the video! Tried to do it without taking the steering wheel off and failed. I’m gonna follow your lead of taking the steering wheel off. I saw someone say they had an issue of once they put the steering wheel back on having the steering wheel center wouldn’t drive the car straight. Have you had any issues with taking off your steering wheel and putting it back on at all? Just being cautious, thanks in advance!

I saw that comment to; but it’s really hard not to get it aligned it only goes on one way lol. I’ve done a few of them and you can’t really mess it up. Just take your time and go slow.

Another great video guys, I’m fitting these soon, I know I need to do the proxy alignment to make them work, however am I ok to install them and have them activated later when the cars in for remapping- I know they won’t work till then but they’ll just be installed, is that ok or will electrical mayhem ensue?

Yes it will! You can always double check by removing the lower panel and finding the plug in for the paddles

I know this is an older video, and I bet at some point you already answered this question but I’m new to your channel. So I installed paddle shifters on my base model Giulia, I don’t have a multiecuscanner, would I be able to do this with my Autel scanner to enable the paddles and if not where can I get the multiecu? Also off topic, what’s the easiest way to turn off traction control on the Giulia?

You can buy multiecu through Alfissimo, and you can turn off traction with race mode or Squadra logger

You never showed where to plug the multi ECU scan or how its used so I’m a little confused?

It’s a factory piece; not sure how the dealer views it. My personal dealer doesn’t have an issue.

Yesss! I have a base model as well! The connector is already prewired, if you removed the bottom steering column cover you can check it out 🙌🏽

Did you set it so pulling both paddles puts the car in neutral?

All alfa romeos from 2018 onward have a security gateway module installed meaning the multiECUscan will not work unless a bypass is installed on the module. That is the most difficult part of the paddle shifter retrofit install. What year is your Giulia?

Yes they do, I didn’t mention that in the video because mine is 2017. I have installed quite a few for people here locally, it’s not too difficult once you remove the bottom panel.

Used the main one, but I did a proxy alignment after. So you’ll need the entire kit located in the link.

You don’t need the top, just the bottom. Alfissimo sells them 🤝
