There should be a switch by the gear shifter that activates the power to the backup light too, under the center console. Connect the receiver to that and you can forget about the extra toggle switch!

No, the stereo have power on and off wire too. so either you can use that wire or put a relay with the 12 V. Stop hacking guys.

Hi, i got the exact system but for another car, in the back of the unit is a pink cable, and that is powered on only you back to reverse and where you have to hook it up , and that tansmiter will be on only when you back in reverse, i think you connect it to red cable and that is always power. Check it

Hi you could of connect the cable on the red one and not the yellow one When u turn off the car its goes off and when u put the car on it come on

dear Joe its a great work I much appreciate it, I have few questions for this, 1- Back cable of android device is input or output? if its a output I can use relay to energise receiver of wireless receiver unit. But I think its a input of android device to check the gear situation if its reverse or not. 2- is it a must that back cable have to connected with 12V? 3- If I leave back cable unconnected what will happen? will the camera image never shown on multimedia device? 4- My android device has CAN connection, can it understand reverse situation from there or I still need back cable to be connected? thanks for your answers.

You should have demonstrated how the camera performs when you actually reverse the car, as I'm interested to know if there is any lag or latency due to it being a wireless connection?

Instead of the reverse temporary parking camera , can I put one that’s like permenately showing the reverse option. So like when I’m on road trips I can watch for cops behind me

Never mind! For anyone else, just take a plastic pry tool and jam it in on the right/passenger side of the light. It feels like you’re going to break it 😅 but eventually it comes out! Imagine you’re trying to push down a spring latch that’s about 0.5” inside from the edge.

Just connect to red accessories to only come on when radio is on ....simple

....why would you solders the wire so you can connect the tap to it?.... why don't you just solder it to the wire? Stronger and much easier too. Isn't there a key wire on stereo, that wire suppose to act like your switch to only turn the stereo on when you plug in the key.

Why not connect to the remote wire?

Remote wire is for amplifier. Needs connected to the "back" wire.
