When I was 16 (I'm 33 now), I went to Toronto all by myself to see Alexisonfire and Moneen play together and when I got there it was sold out. I remember seeing the band outside the side doors and told them my story and they got me on the guest list. You guys made 16 yo me the happiest boy ever.

Bro, I did the exact same thing except not by myself. I'm originally from Michigan and me and 2 friends crossed the border into Ontario when we were about 16 (I'm 33) to see Alexisonfire and Moneen who were 2 of my absolute favorite bands back then. It was such a great experience. Back when you didn't need a passport to hop into Canada.

I’m technically here because of the intro, but not this one. One of my favorite bands Desolate made a song with the intro being a tribute to this one and saw a bunch of comments about that. So yee

Alexisonfire is in their own Genre. No one does it like them.

This is one of those bands that will never be replicated, this type of sound is very specific to a time and a place

I played this song as part of a midterm in high school. We had this new type of music class where it wasn't like traditional big band trumpets and trombones and shit, but guitar, bass and drums. You picked two songs to learn which would be your midterm and final exam. Every person got to pick two then pick the people to be in the band to perform it. The whole semester was just learning individual parts and then practicing with the band for the performance. It was so awesome. I was (and still am) in love with Alexis at the time I picked this song even though it was extremely ambitious for the vocal parts lol. Like who the hell can scream like George as a 16-17 year old? We had a chick sing Dallas' part which was pretty solid, but George's part kind of bombed. No worries. It was a 7pm show in the high school cafeteria. Like 150 people showed up for this thing because it's literally a live concert of modern music and there we were. Playing this song in front of our peers pouring our hearts into it. Wasn't even a grade at that point, it was an opportunity to play music in front of people. Was such a blast. I'll never forget that.

I remember I was so obsessed with this song and George’s vocals that I even got a yellow tshirt like his and I’d cover this song in the studio with friends. Fantastic times.

From muchmusic rock top 5 to a multimillion dollar band. They’ve come such a long way and they deserve every single ounce of the fame they have.

Damn the introduction to this song still gives me chills

i’m 15 now listening to this album, so cool to see everyone else who was my age when they first heard it

2020 f**k covid 19 - 20 years later and still jamming these guys

I listen to all kinds of different music. And I wouldn’t even consider Alexisonfires sound as one I listen to often these days. But credit where credit is due, seeing this at 11 or 12 years old led me on a path to discovering all sorts of artists, genres etc. game changer. Had never seen anything quite like it on TV at the time

sometimes people look back at a moment in time, the music, fashion, and we are embarrassed by ourselves. Here, We looked so cool, i am so proud to have been around then.

They were just babies and so was I when this came out. Almost 20 years passed in the blink of an eye.

Loved going to hang out at Blockbuster on Lake street in St. Catharines to see my good buddy Chris Steele. Man the good old days!!! Growing up with them was such an honour to see the progression over the years!!!

I remember watching this music video's premier on Much Music 20 years ago and thinking "i don't know who that band is, but they're deadly" last night i got to see them play this song in concert and it was just as deadly as ever.

I remember 13 year old me finding Alexisonfire on station x on telethon at night with pulmonary archery and water wings.. never knew it would lead to me 28 year old me still loving this band to no bitter end.

Oh man this shit brings back memories.. what I wouldnt give to go back to those days.

Just saw them in concert last week and they were amazing. So happy to live out my dreams of seeing them live.

2002 first time I saw them, the latest being 2023 ❤ and many times in between.

Screamo is emo with screamed vocals, this is Hardcore/Post-hardcore. Screamo was a modern invention, Post hardcore has been going since the nineties. But since everyone thinks all extreme screamed music is screamo, then.... so be it

Zachary Jollimore Screamo began in the early 1990s and Post-hardcore began in the 1980s. Bands like Alexisonfire are what happened when they realized that they could take screamo and just give it a melody, pop song structure, and professional recording and get famous for it.

I love how they just dress like a normal kid you would have gone to high school with.

During the Cancer Bats set, I stepped out for a smoke and ended up chatting with Wade for about 7 minutes. Real cool guy. Great personality. Down to earth. One of the most influential bands in my life and I'm 38. OG fan.

I remember watching MTV late at night and alexisonfire came on...i didn't like the screaming at the time only cause I didn't understand and wasent on that level of music yet but when I heard Dallas sing I listened for I never heard such a great voice! Years later i love this whole band what a gem! Sad they broke up ! is what it is...
