How frustrating that must have been for him, having to skate through an illness. I'm so glad that things went much, much better for him 4 years later. He was a great champion and so deserving, unbeatable in Salt Lake.

If I were ill, I couldn't even stand on my feet. He's the best ice skater I've ever seen.

We are all humans and we all make mistakes ... for me is Alexei still the best no matter how many mistakes he do ... for me is he the King of figure skating!! Alexei...you are just simply the best!

Wow, Kulik and Yagudin - two GREAT talents but very different skaters. Yagudin - talented all around skater. Kulik- breathtaking jumps and bauil-like star quality on ice. I love them both!

It’s obvious that he feels sick and exhausted, having high temperature and bad cold. Nobody can do their best feeling like this. Nevertheless, he was great, and may be this situation was to show him his way (away from Mishin, to Tatiana Tarasova), or else there would have never been such masterpieces as Winter and The Iron Mask Man

i think every sportsmen should have a respect to all of couches who ever worked with. Mishin is a geat couch as well and he brought Aleksei to the olimpics 1998 in quite high level of skating.

I love this programme !!!

kulik was flawless in Nagano and I liked his programme, it was very expressive, Yagudin became better than Kulik but he wasn't better in 1998. I think if you watch the euros in 98 Plushenko was better than Yagudin on the night (Mishin thought so too and it ruined the realtionship between him and Yagudin), the right guy won in Nagano, (it was sad to see Yagudin skate with this fever, but later he skated with worse problems and did better,) Yagudin of course was perfect in salt lake city

Signs of a champion..................nice performance here, but Kulik was crazy.

Не забывайте что Плющенко на своей первой Олимпиаде тоже был очень молодым а Выиграл -Серебро равное -Золоту! И не был уж Ягудин таким уж неповторимым , Ягудин Никогда -Небыл -ЧР . был всегда вторым после Плющенко ! И более того -Плющенко за два сезона подряд перед Олимпиадой Выигрывал все Золото у Ягудина на всех соревнованиях -это достоверно! ГЕНИАЛЬНЕЕ ПЛЮЩЕНКО - на сегодня нет Фигуриста как ПЛЮЩЕНКО!!! д ДА ещё с такими Многочисленными ПОБЕДАМИ и ДОСТИЖЕНИЯМИ !! ПЛЮЩЕНКО -СУПЕРТАЛАНТ! КОРОЛЬ фигурного катания!

Конечно Алексей будет всегда неповторимым .Вторым он был на чр только потому,что уехал тренироваться в Америку. Ему специально занижали оценки Это всем известно.Алексей лучший!!!

Выйти выступать с температурой, не плохо откатать и всё же войти в пятёрку, это мужественно.

I like the music from 1:05 to 2:12. Is there anybody tell me what name of this song?

Yeah..it's pretty obvious that he was sick. You can see he's got a lot more flexibility than Kulik ..He's a very good skater indeed
