Alexander the great had 1000 casualties and porus had 20.000 casualties. You can say about the 20.000 is debatable but 1000 casualties of Alexander is 100% not debatable because we are talking about real people with families and many more... So if it's not 20.000 it's 15.000? 10.000? Casualties for porus? Porus had defeated Alexander.That is why Alexander had to retreat and return empty handed by a torturous route. As he was severely injured in war,Alexander died young on the way back. He could not reach home. Which idiot travels thousands of miles , wins a fierce battle and then returns the conqured territory to vanquished ? After the battle of Hydaspes, he fought Malian tribes in modern day Multan and got injured there as well. But certainly, the battle with Porus must have resulted in a stalemate or a defeat to the Greeks, pushing him to retreat and take an alternate route.

Definately Emperor Porus had won the war against Alexander.. European writers used to write only great things about their emperors and changed their lost to win..as here in case of war of Alexander with Indian Emperor Porus which Alexander had lost but they said he had won..

According to some famous historians, Alexander could never crossed the river. Because the tide was very high at that moment. They tried but many of his soldiers were killed during crossing it. They waited on the bank for the water to drop but were attacked by fever and diseases. His soldiers started mutiny and many left his side. It is said that he got injured during the mutiny and died during his return home.

Alexander the great had 1000 casualties and porus had 20.000 casualties. You can say about the 20.000 is debatable but 1000 casualties of Alexander is 100% not debatable because we are talking about real people with families and many more.So if it's not 20.000 it's 15.000? 10.000? Casualties for porus? Alexander was the winner and after make porus his puppet satrap that's why he give him spoils so make him his one of his Allies after beat him. All the history books say the same. None of the history at that time say something different. What ever you try to do you can't change the history. The actual reason of Alexander's defeat was his army was not capable in Gorilla warfare and second reason was, due continue fight, his army was become complete restless, out of stamina, out of ammunition and was suffering from illness and hunger due to which Alexander failed against the great Porus.
