Thank you for sharing this video! I haven’t been to Alexander Springs in YEARS! hasn’t lost its luster! I had a flashback when you were mentioning the squirrels. The last time I was there snorkeling I remember surfacing and seeing a raccoon going through a poor ladies bag grabbing snacks while she was swimming it was quite the sight at first but it ran away when the lady was coming back. We all shared a good laugh.

I love springs, and have visited quite a few of them. Alexander is my my favorite, and have visited it more than any other. The price is getting to a point where it's kinda expensive with the family or a group. Price is my only complaint. In addition to the squirrels, the other thing to DEFINITELY keep an eye out for are the many vultures. They will attack your food while you are away, so protect it in coolers and plastic containers. Don't become a victim, cause it's kinda sad. The thing that was not mentioned in this video are the boardwalk pathways that are pretty cool to go for a little hike, get warm, and then come back to the water to cool off.

Great tips thank you. I feel your pain on the price. It’s definitely up there… especially if you have a group. The vultures are super aggressive too. They weren’t bad on this specific trip. Good call on the trails. They were closed for renovations last trip 🙃 Still one of my favorites 🙌

So cool you snorkeled with a gator. We've been multiple times and never seen them. 2 side notes: #1) Gators - If you go on the weekend, you most likely will never see them. With many people in the water, they stay away. #2). Turkey vultures - we've had more problems with turkey vultures trying to steal food off of tables when people weren't at then than squirrels. Definitely don't leave food out, out they'll grab it and fly off with it! Great vid!
